Happy late birthday to [livejournal.com profile] pinkfinity, happy early birthday to [livejournal.com profile] kasche, and just plain happy birthday, holy cow I got it on the right day to [livejournal.com profile] thistlerose! Hope you all have/had great ones.

Having an excellent weekend. One of my best friends is visiting, and get this- yesterday we went shopping AND to a movie (Sherlock Holmes- finally!) AND out to a really nice restaurant for dinner. I have an amazing, wonderful husband, let me tell you! We had a blast- shopping was fun and I got two shirts, the movie was immensely enjoyable, and dinner involved roasted garlic soup with escargot, REAL cassoulet for me and sweet potato angolotti for her, and chocolate souffle with ginger creme anglais for dessert. Plus, we haven't actually seen each other in like two years, so it was a good, good, good day.

Friday I made one of my favorite recipes- pretzel crusted pork chops with orange mustard cream sauce. One of these days I might have to post that one, because it's killer. I also made a Tollhouse pie, which we had with vanilla Hagan Daaz. We plan on having more of the same tonight, but are considering adding Wegman's Triple Chocolate sauce. (Well, she and I are- it might be too much for hubby.) And red wine.

Today, we hit a place called Monkey Joe's, which was one of the nicer bounce places I've ever been to, for the kids. After helping Trevor climb all of the slides multiple times, I am EXHAUSTED. Pizza for dinner! And now, Kite Runner. Prepare to be depressed!

The only bad thing about this weekend is I'm pretty sure we need to hit the doctor's on Tuesday. Trevor's batting at his ears, which probably means an infection, and I can't hear a thing and have a sore throat, which probably means a sinus infection. Yay. Oh well.

Time for wonderful but depressing movies! Yay!
