One of those fun memes that makes the rounds every now and then, stolen from [livejournal.com profile] puszysty:

1) Make a list of fifteen characters first, and keep it to yourself for the moment. (I picked em from 15 different source materials this time)

2) Ask your flist to post questions in the comments. For example: 'One, nine and fifteen are chosen by a prophecy to save the world from four. Do they succeed?' 'Under what circumstances might five and fourteen fall in love?' 'Which character on the list would you most want on your side in a zombie invasion?' 'Write a drabble in which three and eleven fight crime.' (...possibly not technically a question.)

3) After your flist has asked enough questions, round them up and answer them using the fifteen characters you selected beforehand, then post them.

Fun because I can be creative without writing a "ficlet", as my ficlets tend to be 6-10 pages. :P

Went running yesterday for the first time in almost a month. I was pleased I could still run three miles no problem. At the end of March, I'm going down to the Carolinas to run a race with a friend. Howard's owed me a weekend away for over a year, and I've just never gotten around to taking it. One of my friends suggested I do a 10K with her, and then we spend the rest of the day hanging out in Charleston. Running, shopping, eating at what she promises is an amazing restaurant (and I totally believe her), and lots of girl time... this sounds like an excellent use of my weekend away. I just have to be sure I can run six miles by then! :) (I don't care so much about my time, to be honest. I just want to finish the race without walking.)

I've FINALLY been reading The Handmaid's Tale. I'm not too far in, but I'm really liking it so far. I've always heard good things about it, it's just my reading has been slow ever since I had kids. It speeds up in the winter because I like to take baths, and I read in the bath. This summer it might even go reasonably, because the kids are getting big enough that they won't need constant help at the parks. (I hope.) Some of them, yes, but not all. I think we're going to hit the library later today. We haven't done that in AGES- Toby doesn't go to storytime anymore because of pre-school, and storytime falls right when I have to pick Toby up from preschool, so I don't take Trevor. (It's not like we don't read enough around here anyway. There are always books before naps and bed, and in the past two weeks we've been seeming to read for a good half hour to an hour in the morning.) I can't WAIT for park weather, though. These two need to get outside more.

Eek. Morning goes too fast. Just about time to get the kiddies up, and the grocery shopping and laundry on my list for the day. Sense my joy :P
