A character(s) I like: I always liked Menolly. And Sorka from Dragonsdawn. And F'nor.
A character(s) I dislike: Once you get past the sell-out point, all of them.
Character I love that other people don't: Sorka, I guess? I don't see a lot of love for Dragonsdawn.
Character everyone else loves that I don't: Robinton. Masterharper kind of hurt that.

OK, apparently it's been too long since I read these. I can't remember ANY of the characters from Dragonsdawn anymore! I've always been a Ninth Pass kinda gal, anyway. (Indeed, F'nor/Brekke 4Evah!1)

Gahhh, just remembering how excited I was for Masterharper, and how terrible that book was....*shakes fist at McCaffrey*

And how bitchy she is about fanfic! And yet her son is writing her books now!

I know. Masterharper was AWFUL. One of my favorite characters before that became a total Mary Sue.

I don't mind her fanfic rules, because she lets you play in the world and makes you make up new characters. Frankly, that's a LOT of fun, and I always enjoyed doing it. I'd do it more in BSG if I thought I could get people to read it, because there must be lots of good stories. (I already do it, really. Hoshi and Narcho might as well be OCs for all the lines they get.) But I've heard her son isn't all that good...

I still love Robinton, because I choose to block out Masterharper. I fact, I remember nothing about it, except that it made me want to throw it out the window.

I didn't realize she was letting people play in the world with OCs now. Last I heard, it was 100% "HANDS OFF MY TOYS"
