I love this chapter. You deal with the emotional aftermath so well, while still showing how things are getting back to . . . normal (whatever that means). There's so much restrained hurt in the Lee/Dee scenes. It's gripping, even though I know it will end badly. They're not relying on each other, and it hurts to watch because it's so believable.
It's good to see the character dynamics shifting in Dee's little circle of friends (shall we call them "Bridge Bunnies + 1"?). The promotion debacle works so well to tie together the Lee/Dee storyline with the Dee/friends portion.
