I still owed a few drabbles from that drabble-thing a while back. I didn't forget- I just needed TIME!

Here they are. I like the second one, but I'm not as crazy about the first. :P

Title: Disguise

Author’s Note: For katilara, who wanted glam!pups. I don’t ever write glam!pups and really am not at all a fan of the characterization, but I figured I’d give it a go anyway.



The music was hard and throbbing, seductive in a raw sort of way. And yet Remus wasn’t dancing; he was only watching Sirius with a small, knowing smile teasing the edge of his lips.

“What?” Sirius asked, suddenly self-conscious about the glitter and the eyeliner and the tight leather that drew eyes.

Remus shrugged. “It’s not you.”

“So?” Sirius demanded defensively. “Sometimes it’s nice not to be me.”

“I know. And sometimes there’s a certain satisfaction in knowing I’m the only one in this room who knows who you really are.” He chuckled. “And sometimes, I like it that way.”

Rating: It’s a drabble and it has baby Harry. What do you think?
Author’s Note: For magic_at_mungos, who wanted Sirius giving baby Harry a bath.



“Prongs!” The roar shook the tiny house. “Teach your son that the bathtub is not a toilet!” Sirius was soaked from head to toe, black hair hanging in bedraggled strands, much to Harry’s clear amusment.

James leaned against the door frame and chuckled. “He got you, huh?”

“Right up the nose!” Sirius waved in anger, causing Harry to squeal and wave his hands in imitation. “Little pisser!”

“Bigger than yours,” James retorted.

“All right. That’s it. Outside, you bloody wanker! Now!”

And from the bathtub, clear as day, Harry spoke his first word.

“Wanker!” he crowed, pointing at his father.

Yay, drabbles!

The first one was OK for glam!pups. I'm not a fan of glam either, but I liked this, that Remus knew what Sirius was under all the glitter.

Now the second one--LOL! Repeat after me, Sirius--always have a washcloth on hand. Always. Baby boys really are fountains. Trust me. ;-)

heheheh, love them both. When I saw that request from KL i was thinking 'hmmm.. i wonder how Lissa is going to do that..' since I know you're not quite a fan of the glam!pups. I like it though. I think you managed to stick to your view of things while still giving a view of the other side.

Nobody will ever be able to convince me that Harry's first word was anything other than "wanker". That's brilliant. What else could Son of Prongs and Godson of Padfoot possibly say, after all?

By the way, my little sister's first words were "bird shit" ("bird dit"), so it does happen. We still tease her about it to this day, more than twenty years later. ;)

The first one was cute, too. I'm not really a fan of glam!pups, either, but it's adorable that Sirius would be self-conscious about it.

Thanks :) I really enjoyed doing the Harry one. I might actually shanghai that into a full scene for AIL. Because now that I've written it, Harry's first word was definitely "wanker."

Thanks :) Yeah, I'm so not a glam fan, but I figured for a drabble... stretch the horizons and all that. I've never written Fred and George, either, and I really enjoyed writing that drabble.

Hehehe. Based on the fact my brother peed up my grandfather's sleeve. But if I have a boy, I'm ready!

Well, I DID debate between "wanker" and "fuckwit". But "wanker" seemed easier for a baby to say :)
