Birthday and chatter
May. 10th, 2007 12:38 pmHappy birthday
sasha_davidovna! Hope it's a great one.
I've been out of it. :P Nothing bad, mind you. Just no energy. No motivation- for anything. But today I feel like typing- whoohoo!
1.) Am I the only wierd one who thought that Jacob might be the bunny? Just for a minute? When they got to the freaky cabin and Ben pointed to the chair, I swear I was thinking "we're gonna see a white rabbit sitting on the chair."
So, not as many questions answered as I hoped, but it was SO worth it to see Locke totally pwn Ben in the Other's camp. (I never use the "word" pwn, but that is SO WHAT HAPPENED.) They did clear up a bit about Dharma vs. Hostiles vs. Others, and where people in general fit in to that, so that was good. I was happy about that.
Richard is totally hot. However, I can't shake the feeling he's gay. This is totally and 100% attributed to the permanent eye-liner he wears. I know, stereotype, but sorry. It's one I generally can't shake. Very immature of me. But on a serious note, I heard rumors the producers did say there would be a gay character. I'd assumed it was Tom/Mr. Friendly, because he originally said Kate wasn't his type, and it seemed to me he spent a lot of time harrassing Sawyer. But after getting more background on Kate, she could be the hottest woman in the world and yeah. I just don't like her.
Jack is driving me I.N.S.A.N.E. He's such a condesending twit. (Although Sawyer and Sayid REALLY should have had the brains to listen to the whole tape. But maybe- with their luck with technology- they were afraid the tape would self-destruct if they took it out? But on that note. Locke stole the tape recorder from Ben (right? or Richard gave it to him?) and gave it to Sawyer. How did Juliet know what was on the other side? Although I assume she could figure it out. If she knew his instructions would be there, and she knew what would happen to the pregnant women (and does it seem like Sawyer never stopped to consider that oops, he might knock up Kate?), it probably didn't require rocket science.
Jin should run, and run fast. Not from Sun, but from the writers, should Sun carry to term. Dear Lost writers: there ARE good fathers out there. Really. And even white men can be capable of being great dads. Thanks. All in all, I enjoyed it.
2.) I've been having luck making friends in the development. Now I need to find foodie friends. (One of my best friends is self-admitted picky eater.) I found a menu I really want to try: Fruit gazpacho, peppers stuffed with tomatoes, chevre, and basil, and South of the border breadsticks. I'll probably change the dessert (not a huge sorbet fan), but doesn't that sound tasty? Hubby wouldn't go for it, I don't think, but I think it sounds like a perfect ladies' lunch type of thing. Plus, everything can be pretty much made ahead of time. We're putting in a patio... I can envision serving it outside on a nice summer day or a hot summer night.
I need a life :)
3.) Must get something written today. Review, more of AIL 14, original stuff, I don't care what. But must write. So, hope all is well with all of you, and I'm off!
