Six Song meme
Jun. 6th, 2005 04:40 pm1.) "Dance With My Father" by Luther Vandross- I cried the first time I heard this, especially in the last verse where he sings about his mother. There's no deep and mysterious reason this song is meaningful to me- it's just the most obvious one.
2.) "Have I Told You Lately (That I Love You)" by Van Morrison- It was our wedding song. :) Guess why it's meaningful. Go on. Guess!
3.) "Me and Bobby McGee" by Janis Joplin- We used to sing this very loudly in college when we had girls' nights. Despite the fact college was almost 10 years ago, I still think of it every time I hear this song.
4.) "I See Me" by Travis Tritt- A song about a father watching his little boy. Again, guess why I love this song right now.
5.) "Hallelujah" in all its incarnations- It's the perfect Remus/Sirius song AND it was used in The West Wing (although with very little Toby ::sniff::). And it's from Shrek, which is just one of the coolest movies ever.
6.) "Accidentally In Love" by the Counting Crowes- Duh. :) Chapter 8 should be up in the next few days, btw. Just need to finish one last scene and do some editing. Whoohoo!
