lls_mutantAt one point, my hubby made me promise no Harry Potter names for our kids. As I think that JKR names her characters either names I would NEVER name a child (Nymphadora Tonks would certainly back me up on that), or things that, while they're perfectly acceptable names, aren't my taste (Harry, Ron, Neville, Ginny, etc.), I thought this was fine.
And then she made Tobias Snape. I swear, I nearly screamed when I saw that.
Fortunately, he was a mere mention in book 6 and I doubt he'll be a major character in book 7. And we never call Toby Tobias anyway, even if that is his legal name.
But this time, she can't steal my baby name! HAH!
Of course, this might be because we don't have one. But still. (The only name I know I really like is Juliette for a girl. Hubby does not. Oh well.) But this time, JKR can't steal my baby name!!!!!
WHOOHOO!!!!
I so need to do something useful.
