It's been quite dull here. Well, not really. We went to my parents' this weekend, which was really, really nice, and I finally saw my new niece, who is adorable. Things are good with life in general, although we're stressed and Toby's been running a fever. (Doc said it's either a cold or teething, and since he's working on those two year molars I favor the latter.) But even though we're stressed, a lot of our stress is over things that are happening to other people. Our life? It seems to be going just fine.

Which is great, really. It's just very dull to say much about!

So are people actually migrating over to InsaneJournal? I have no intention of it, myself. I'm kind of finding myself edging out of fandom a bit, especially in terms of reading. There are still a few communities I enjoy (especially [livejournal.com profile] omniocular) and a few challenges I want to do (I love doing Remix, and I'm doing the holiday gen fic exchange), and some authors I really enjoy reading. But if I don't know an author already I've been avoiding reading random fics, which isn't necessarily fair. (If anyone does know of a REALLY good new author, especially in R/S or gen, please tell me. Especially if they're plotty.) I think the last two R/S authors I really added to my "must read" list were [livejournal.com profile] magnetic_pole and [livejournal.com profile] rosemaryandrue, and that was AGES ago.

Because I'm getting long-winded, it's all innocuous real life stuff. )

Wow. I was hoping to write some, but Toby woke up from his nap. Not a shock- he slept until almost 10 this morning. Guess we'll go watch Monsters, Inc. or something!

Hope all is well with all of you!
