Remix is easily my favoritist challenge ever. The first year I got
inksheddings, and last year I got
leiascully. This year I got an author I'm familiar with and really like, and that almost makes me nervous because I want to write something AMAZING for this person. Sadly, there are no AUs (well, sort of), because my Dream Assignment is to take an AU and do it from the AIL universe, but that's no biggie. (I've done pinch hitting for the past two remixes, so who knows what will happen.) But there's no end of choice.
I also can't wait to see who got me. The first year was odd, because while the remixer did a good job, they picked a very short, silly piece I wrote and remixed that. Last year was the epitome of what remix really means, because
gunderpants remixed The Fallacy of Loneliness, and it was awesome. It was the perfect example of how Remix should be- two very different people taking the same idea (Sirius feeling lonely and depressed at 12 GP and getting jostled out of it) and executing it in a characteristic style. (Me with the... whatever you call what I do, and Gun with the turning Sirius into Howard Hughes.)
Oh, and Remixer? I didn't choose a safe story for a reason. The stories that are nearest and dearest to my heart are actually the ones I'd LOVE to see remixed! So have at it and have fun! :)
Anyway, looking forward to this one, and thanks,
musesfool, for putting yourself through this again!!!!
