Um, wow.

Okay, I admit, I was spoiled for Dee's suicide, but when she shot herself like that... oh. my. God. NOT expecting that, and not happy to see it regardless. I didn't like Dee/Lee, but I always always always liked Dee herself. That stunned me.

Not looking forward to seeing the Dee/Gaeta shipper reaction. ::hugs her shipper friends:: No wonder Gaeta looked like shit in the webisodes. I mean, he didn't look overly happy when he was talking with her, but wow. He's lost her and he's gonna break off with Hoshi. Oh man.

The final cylon- I called it. Yay me! I'd seen a spoiler about that, too, but since I was right, I was cool with it.

So, was Anders a rock star on Earth? That would be pretty funny if it was true.

The Cylon visions intrigued me more than anything else. I want to know more about that. It was interesting how they never let you see any of the Cylons up close. Obviously, they had children. I'm wondering if the Final Five reincarnate differently than the Seven? Instead of downloading into an adult body, they download into an embryo and go through life stages again? That would be interesting.

When it comes to Kara, I've got nothing. I'm clueless. I haven't even got theories.

I am wondering if they'll refer to the webisodes at all. I suppose we'll find out next episode, or maybe the one after. Just the Raptor of Death. I did smile a bit at the part where Hoshi and Gaeta were obviously talking before and exchanged glances. Funny how differently you'd see that if you've seen the webisodes versus if you haven't. I also have a feeling we're going to see more of Gaeta's grieving Dee next episode, maybe. Or at least his anger and bitterness. Which- boy did he get some ominous foreshadowing. (And I see Hoshi's got a reasonable haircut. Hallelujah.)

It was fun to see Leoben freak out. Not so fun to see Roslin or Adama freak out, although I gotta say everyone was rocking their scenes.

The show is definitely back!

I'm still coming down off the high of WTF WAS THAT.

I'm so confused about the timeline now... Gaeta's stump (I feel so gross saying that) looked healed, but in the webs it's all scabby and gross. And OMG I did not see Dee doing that. I saw a picture of her on the floor with a gun, but I honestly thought she was threatening someone and Gaeta knocked her out. Or something like that. Didn't see the suicide coming. And Ellen as the Final just... well, like I said before, for me it's anti-climactic and dull and makes her death scene so un-tragic now. -_-

I did smile a bit at the part where Hoshi and Gaeta were obviously talking before and exchanged glances.
I sqeaked at that scene and the family was very confused (well, not mum, she knows how crazy I am over AJ XD)

If you paid attention to the preview for next week, the final shot is Zarek talking to someone. It is clearly Gaeta. *squeak* I want a "Team Zaeta" shirt!!! :D

Yeah, the timeline aspect is pretty confusing. I actually thought that the webisode would have been more accurate, but... totally lost on that. Not thinking about that too hard. Some of the promo pictures weren't what we saw, either. Gaeta had his jacket off in the one, and we never saw the shot of Dee on the floor with the gun, I don't think. Man.

Yeah, I would have liked to see some ~bicep~ action. :3 Those were probably just shots for different takes- like how in movie trailers sometimes they've got scenes or dialouge that aren't in the final movie~

I was COMPELTELY not expecting that. I've seen some spoilers, but I hadn't even got a whiff of that! I was busy thinking of your recent comment when they were looking at the picture of her as a little girl. He *did* kind of look like he wanted to do her! :) In an idle way, at least. And then suddenly, there was a gun, and I truly thought it was going to be a dream and then.... *gutpunch*

I saw that too! Both me and my friend squealed, "Hoshi!" and then squealed again when they exchanged that look. It's funny that they didn't even plan on anything for those two in S4.5, and suddenly, they have the two of them talking to each other and exchanging looks, when they've never really done so before (as far as I remember).

The Gaeta/Dee connection is what broke me, and I didn't ship them or anything, I just love them as BFFs.

(Side note: I am REALLY pissed off that they did this on a meta level, but that's another story.)

The little Gaeta/Hoshi look was nice.

There seems to be a consensus on my flist that it's fun to watch Leoben freak out. Hee!

In the picture, anyway. On screen, I totally got nothing of that. He seemed like he was already starting his spiral down. I was grieving Dee, but a part of me wanted to grab Adama or Tigh or someone and say, "um, guys? You might want to keep an eye on the rest of your crew!"

Oooh. I'm thinking no on Hera, possibly on Nicky. One theory I saw that I really, really liked was that the Significant Seven could start reproducing once they'd accepted their own mortality. But I don't know- the Five had kids. The Seven don't. I'm so confused.

I thought it was interesting in that TV guide interview you posted that Juliani said that he felt like that relationship came out of left field, and then after a few conversations made a lot of sense. I'm assuming he didn't meant the homosexual aspect came out of left field, but the Hoshi specifically aspect (the first I don't get at all, given what he's said previously. The second I get completely). So I'm really curious to see what's there.

True. I wonder if we're going to see the morpha addiction at all. But I could see him being very bitter and angry and all that as well- at least for a minute or two of screen time. Except... while I'm sad for him losing Dee, I can't see how he can blame Dee's death on anyone in a specific sense. So they may leave it. Especially since I wonder how much screen time he'll actually get.

I know! I felt it, too, and I'm the same way- I don't ship them. I really feel for the people who did, because OUCH. I always expected that Gaeta would be the one to die, not Dee.

Even if I hadn't been spoiled for Dee's death, I would have grown suspicious halfway through the episode because she suddenly had so much screentime. And close-ups. That's always a dead giveaway. Uhm, so to say.

If Earth was full of Cylons, Earth must have a resurrection facility, yes? Looks like it's still working? It's the first thing that comes to mind for me. I've rooted for everybody being a Cylon for a long time, anyway.

I saw it! I finally saw it!

I'm looking forward to the fanfics of 'The Final Five living together in their little Earth House'. They would be like a wacky family. Saul and Ellen as the freaky mum and dad, Galen wears specs, Anders is a rocker, Tory must have been his groupie! This fic demands Crack!fic.

I loved the Leoben freak out too! Hilarious.

I don't think the webisodes will be mentioned in the show. It's like Razor, a side story - a virtual piece of fanfic.

However Gaeta's characterisation is very consistent with the webisodes. He IS really good at mental blocking. Dee is lying DEAD on the floor, her brains splattered against the wall and Gaeta is babbling "She'll be okay. We just need a medic."

Thanks; I needed that hug! What a cop-out on the writers' part, too. Dee was always stable and sensitive; there's just NO REASON she'd do that.

I do hope they continue with Felix' grief. And not just because it's important to me! (okay, maybe because it's important to me. But I am very important. Plus, I want some reward for not being able to see it till Monday. I'm going to have even more Internet catch-up than this weekend!)

Yeah, I know. It just seems such a big thing to find one of your main characters in a Raptor with a bunch of corpses. :P Of course, if you're going to sweep it under the rug because he's not one of your daughter types.... And you're so right about the characterization. What gets me, though, is it seems to be that they're trying to paint that aspect of him as morally gray, when it's really just naive. ::Sigh:: But I think I'd react about the same way.

I'm really looking forward to finding out more about the final five and what their lives were like. Galen looked like a college professor in the flashbacks. And I'm so dying to know what's going on with Anders and the guitar. And now I want a scene where Anders plays the guitar and Gaeta sings. I so won't get it, but it would, erm, rock? :)

I hate Leoben. (Not CKR- Leoben.) I hate him and Starbuck wandering around together, because Starbuck sweetie? You should be screaming and running away from him. No, that's out of character. But trying to kill him works, too. So seeing that crazy motherfrakker freaked out was FANTASTIC. And CKR did an awesome job with it.

I didn't think it was a cop-out; I was actually okay with it. It was devastating, but I understood it. Poor Dee. She put all her hope in the wrong place (Earth, not Lee), and when it was gone, she just couldn't deal with it. One of my favorite assessments of the show is that the reason the Agathons looked so happy was that they were the only people who hadn't built their hope on Earth. They'd built it on their family, and that was still together and intact. I liked that, and as sad as it was for Dee, it made a lot of sense to me.

I think they are going to continue with Felix's grief- at least some. I was wondering how Felix going over to Zarek was going to affect his and Dee's relationship. I wasn't anticipating this in the least. He looked pissed as hell at Lee, and the promo pics for next week look like he's hit his own breaking point. I think it's interesting- Dee and Gaeta are both breaking, but I suspect Dee turned all her anger and rage and violence inward, and Gaeta's is going outside. They're like two sides of the same coin.

The other thing that's making me sad is I still expect Felix to die. But I always thought that Dee would grieve him when he's gone. I hope SOMEONE (although I suspect Baltar will get that role) will grieve him if he does go. ::sniff::

That theory about the Agathons is interesting...I figured they were trying to keep the fleet's devastation away from their child. But that works, too; that they have a future and it is them.

I think I'm still too close to be accepting of what they did with Dee.
