lls_mutantFirst things first- thank you, thank you, THANK YOU to whoever nominated He That Believeth In Me for the Hourglass awards. I've never been nominated for a fic award, so I was jumping for joy. Whoever you are, you really, really, REALLY made my day!
I posted fic yesterday! Part 4 of A Lot to Live Up To, the Dee-Hoshi bitchfight fic. And bitchfight they did, buahahahahaha! Seriously, I am having SO much fun writing this fic, although I think you can all guess the out-and-out bitchfighting can't last TOO much longer. I'm really liking this next chapter, and I REALLY can't wait to get to some of the reveals.

bsg_remix is looking for betas: sign up here if you're willing! And no, you do not have to be doing Remix to beta. The deadline is fast approaching. I'm excited, although it does mean I have to get my own butt in gear. I've been so busy with A Lot to Live Up To and my parents being in town... but I finally picked a fic, and it's not going to be an epic story coming out (lord knows I have a tendency to do that!), although I'm afraid it will be BLINDINGLY obvious that I wrote it. I also signed up for bsg_bigbang, which isn't due until October, and I can write my shiny AU for. (The "Crazy8 successfully kidnapped Raptor 718 and took them to Cavil AU." I was going to have her just have Felix, but then I got Ideas, and now Pilot8 is a major character, and Easy is nudging me and saying she doesn't like my thoughts, and Brooks says it would be nice for a deckhand to get a moment in the sun. And then Goatee!Engineer!Two (who will need a new name rather than Tom) is all excited because he's getting a major role, and Tom's excited because he gets to be in it, and Narcho's striking a deal with me that he can be in it if he keeps his clothes on, and Dee's pouting because it goes AU after her suicide. (Don't blame her.) Yes, I have voices in my head.)
It's been a good weekend so far, though. Yesterday we met up with some friends at the Franklin Institute. It was a little old for Toby, but not TOO old, and he had fun, and their son was the perfect age. (And such a nice, bright kid, too.) The lesson of the day though was that walking through the giant heart carrying a baby is HARD. Last night we watched Zack and Miri Make a Porno, which had its moments. Today I took the kids to the park, and you know, it's a really good thing we've never bought a swingset. The first half hour, Toby played in the sand pit and Trevor walked back and forth over the bridge. Then we went to throw rocks in the creek for over an hour. They had a BLAST. They were filthy, but that's what little boys are SUPPOSED to be, right? :) I got a run in, I think Toby's going to get to drive his Gator, and we're going to go for ice cream tonight.
Yeah, it's a good weekend. :) Hope you all are having one, too!
