Gah, I'm having a grumpy day. Toby is driving me bonkers, although just by being a normal three year old. And I am so. fucking. SICK of snacktime. Seriously, it takes like THREE HOURS each day. (Seriously. Each meal takes about an hour.) I don't want to complain because we are worlds away from where we were and he's EATING, but I am SO SICK OF IT.


Then I had a hard time posting on bsg_remix, because I forgot to click over to the HTML option. I DID figure it out eventually, but it was frustrating.

I'm sunburned again, from taking the kids outside.

Now Toby's not napping. He is instead downstairs watching Finding Nemo, because I need a break. And I'm dieting, so I'm hungry. :P And Dee's not cooperating, because I can't figure out if I need to novelize the whole Dee-rescues-Starbuck thing, or if I can just reference it. And Howard's playing softball tonight, which means I'm on my own with the kids all day.

It's not that things are in any way bad, y'know? I'm just GRUMPY.

So ten good things to alleviate grumpiness:

1.) We've started posting at bsg_remix! There's some really good stuff coming up over there.
2.) Apparently, 1 bucket of water + 2 paintbrushes = 1 solid hour of entertainment for two toddler boys. Neat.
3.) I ran 5.5 miles on Saturday. I am so going to finish this half marathon.
4.) I'm making calzones for dinner tonight.
5.) I'm taking The True Story of J.J., a book about a rescued baby gray whale that my husband and I have both had to read, like, 50 times BACK TO THE LIBRARY TONIGHT!
6.) My review of Third Man Out was posted over at MRFH.
7.) I have a killer last scene for Chapter 9 of ALTLUT
8.) "Fat Bottom Girls" makes the best running music EVER.
9.) I know exactly what I'm doing with my Remix for remixredux09, I just need to get this chapter done first.
10.) Trevor's at least napping.

Well, it was a bit of a stretch, but there. Ten things to make me happy on a day when all I manage to do is growl and be grumpy.

11.) Between the remix, the pornbattle, and rap's gen challenge, there has been a *deluge* of really good fic as of late. I don't know about you, but I'm having a hard time keeping up with it all!

Re: trouble posting remixes--Oh, I hate it when I do that and try to code in the rich text box. How many submissions do you have in for the remix by now? Hope it's going well!

Sorry for the rough day. I will say that age 3 was the worst age, behavior-wise, for both girls (although MiniPlu snapped out of it much more promptly, upon achieving 4, than Two did). And the back end of 3 is often a little better than the front end, so hopefully Toby will settle soon.

I'm sorry mealtime is still such a hassle. You should pay yourself a nickel for every time you have to say, "Take your bite" - treat yourself to a movie or new clothes with the profits. :)

Btw, I finally got to read your Star Trek review on MRFH - lots of fun! :D

Good point about all the fic! I'm having a hard time keeping it up, too.

We have about 30 submissions in so far. I'm psyched! I just have one or two I'm a little worried about. BTW- got yours today, and LOVED it. :)

I've always wanted someone to write the scene where Kara teaches Dee to fly the Raptor. I was so mad that they cut that! Not that it would necessarily fit in your story, I just thought I'd share. ;)

I'm glad you have a kickass scene for the last chapter! I'm looking forward to it. And yeah, watch out for Dee. She can totally take over. She did that in my vids because the girl is like BEAUTIFUL. Hee! And you've made her so interesting, so her becoming a focus isn't a bad thing. I like it.

Also, you've added another data point supporting my "cats are like toddlers" theory. My cat does the most playing with things that are not cat toys (i.e., milk rings).
