A Return to Childhood?
Aug. 31st, 2009 03:02 pmIt's sad when you find how childhood pleasures have changed. Examples:
1.) I am eating a Tootsie Pop. The flavor? Pomegranate. (On the flip side, you know a flavor is becoming prosaic when it becomes a Tootsie Pop flavor.)
2.) I taught my children to roll down a hill today. It was hysterical and a load of fun, but after five times I was sure I was going to throw up. (I didn't.) But it's not that big a hill.
3.) I also had Oreos today. Chocolate double stuff cream. THIS difference I approve of wholeheartedly.
4.) When I try to go down a spiral slide, my feet get stuck and make me go really, really slow.
5.) When I see a sandbox, I think one of two things: 1.) please play there for a long time! or 2.) please don't get it in the house!!!
I'm getting OLD. ::sigh::
