Little tidbits today.

I have finally learned how to pee on a stick. (It took five tests. FIVE!) But yes, Lupinslittleniece or Lupinslittlenephew is on the way. Whoohoo!!!!! Early days yet (I'm not due till late November), but I'm definitely bouncing.

One recommendation: don't use the digital E.P.T. test.

Fic rec: I read this fic called Changes on Astronomy Tower at FA today. It's technically Tonks/Remus, but please please please don't let that put you off- that's only for a few sentences of the story. This is the Tonks I love- strong, independent, funny, and very human. If nothing else, the first line grabbed me and pulled me in, because you know the author is RIGHT.

‘Can you… you know… make them change? Make them grow bigger?'

Yeah. Imagine. I get that all the time from men. Since I was in Hogwarts, it's always been, ‘Oh, so you can change shape? Wicked!'

And then the guy's eyes suddenly ‘happen' to wander downwards, lingering on my chest for a little too long, and there comes the bloody question that I've grown to dread:

‘Can you morph your boobs too?'

And lastly...

The lovely Jlarinda at Immeritus drew me fan art for Accidentally In Love! Whoohoo! This is my favorite of the pieces she's done for me, with Sirius and Remus putting on the collars. She even got them dressed right.

OK...

1) CONGRATULATIONS! Those pee-on-a-stick tests are tough! But, yay for a positive! :)

2) This is the level of trust I have for you -- I'm going to read the fic. I don't normally stray into Tonks/Remus. But, trusted opinions I'll follow. Those are pretty few and far between.

3)The art is wonderful. I love it! I'll have to go comment over on Immeritus. :)

2.) I'm flattered! Hopefully you'll like it. I didn't like the ending because of the Remus/Tonks (and because I DO like Tonks/Charlie), but the rest of the fic was so awesome that it's worth the ending.

It's so comforting to know other people got wierd results too.

I did a First Response too early and got a line that was so faint it could have been real or just from being wet. Did it the next morning and got the same thing. Then I did a digital e.p.t. and got an error message. Did it again and got the same error message.

Finally did an Answer today and got two clear lines. Stupid tests!

I'll have to check out the potter_parents committee. Thanks!

That's my older daughter's and my husband's hands, when we got her. :) We took a similar picture with my younger girl, but I don't know how to make gifs, otherwise I'd have them alternate.

As heidi8 said, potter_parents is rather quiet at the moment, but it's nice to see discussion pop up now and then. I joined (back when it was a Y!group, not an LJ group) while we were still waiting for our first child, and I know other people have posted with pregnancy-related issues, so feel free to pop in as you feel inspired. :)

Hey! I was re-reading the snippet you posted and I realised you talked about being pregnant and I felt really stupid for not noticing ((I guess I was too excited about reading a part of AIL)).

When a fic's as good as hers ((aka never, cause no other fic is THAT good)) it inspires artists!! I never know what the heck to draw, and some of the scenes in DTF and AIL are so..draw-able xD
