Being the insane person I am, I had signed up for tarie's Illustrated Fic Wish Swap, where artists illustrate fics and ficcers write for artists. Can I tell you how lucky I was?

First, I got assigned to write for odyessy01, who does beautiful portraits. So I managed to actually finish a Theo-Blaise genfic for her called A Little Respect, inspired by her gorgeous portraits of Theodore Nott and Blaise Zabini.

Then I got an email from my artist, saying she'd be late. But that was okay, because as fate would have it, it was andreanna, who I did the hp_synergy challenege with, and I LOVE her stuff. And now it's even better than okay, because holy cow, was the illustration worth the wait.

I had asked for an illustration to either Mentors or Come Talk to Me, because they are my two favorite fics, and the two I think are my strongest writing. andreanna did Come Talk to Me, and you can see the picture here. It is AMAZING. Seriously. The story was a series of scenes with the different Weasleys reflecting on Percy's 20th birthday. What she did was made a collage of the Weasleys in all of the scenes. I keep trying to decide my favorite, but it's hard. I think the two that I like best are how she drew Charlie and the twins. But she captured the mood of every single Weasley (and Harry and Hermione) absolutely perfectly, and it's a dead on illustration for this fic. Especially since this fic is such a personal one to me.

So go see it and leave her the feedback she so richly deserves. (BTW: Come Talk to Me is gen and rated G (unless you want to count some bad language on the twins' parts, perhaps), and the pic reflects that. Harry and Ron aren't wearing their shirts, yes, but they were sunbathing. So obviously, this piece is completely work safe.)
