Let's Kick Shit, and other random thoughts

I got to kick shit today for the first time since, well, since I was starting to really show. Okay, so I got to go downstairs to the basement, crank the Queen, and play with my heavy bag. (Yeah, there's a little self-insertion going on with Damien Lupin. Shut up.) I've missed it. One day I REALLY want to get back into tae kwon do.

My husband was also not nearly impressed enough that I can still do a tornado kick :) The thing about kicking is I can really feel where my stomach muscles are weak and a little strain across where the incision was. (I can also tell which muscles are not flexible anymore.) I was impressed I could still do a tornado kick. (For those not in the know, the tornado kick is one where you spin around and kick up at a 45 degree angle.) Now my arms and legs are happily tired, and I am praying that my darling son will kindly take a nap.

Do you realize that if you took my universe as canon (Remus's Patronus being Sirius's Animagus form), then accepted what JKR said about Patroni changing after emotionally unsettling experiences (make him unable to conjure a copreal Patronus for a while), and then took ignipes "The Worst Journey In The World" as canon (Remus begins healing by talking to birds in tuxedos), you could make a really good case for the current Remus's Patronus being a penguin? Just sayin'. I'm so tempted to do that.

My Remix is actually moving along. At a snail's pace, but it is moving along. But good lord, I'm a grump today, so I'm gonna gack the ranting meme. Anyone have a topic for me to rant about?

I used to do thai kickboxing, but my left side is terribly weak to the point of it affecting my grading. So, I'm working on that now. Easy on the stomach muscles though, you know if the core is weakened or compromised, the rest is madness.

I am terribly ashamed to admit that despite the fact that I am single-handedly responsible for the Remus-Penguin fanfic connection, I never even considered the notion that his Patronus could be a penguin.

But now...it's more than tempting. It's a Patronus definition made in heaven!

I just have to figure out how to work it into a fic. *ponders*

Yeah, I'm definitely feeling it today! I did take it easy though- I knew i was still really tender and sore across there, so I behaved. Sort of :)

Scary how much sense it could make, isn't it? And it would be a change from the fandom consensus that Remus's Patronus is Sirius's Animagus form.

Plus, I just think someone needs to draw a penguin chasing down a dementor.
