Thanks to everyone yesterday who reminded me I'm not a complete monster :)

A couple of quick recs from the Remix. I'm trying to avoid reccing the same ones everyone seems to be reccing. Not because they're not good (they are) but because there's other good stuff there too.

Three quick (and by no means exhaustive) recs:

Shadows of Perfection (Fragile Hearts Remix). I liked this one because it focused on such a nice "missing moment" from canon- Remus picking out pictures to send to Harry in PS/SS. The original story by [livejournal.com profile] thistlerose is really nice too- sort of a response to all the James-hate that was a backlash of OotP.

The Same Way Home (a symphony in seven movements) Whoever wrote this knows how men really fight. I was debating if I was going to add this, and the line that tipped me over the edge was:
"I don't even know what I'm supposed to say to that," Sirius says finally. "Fine, then. I'll leave you to convince yourself you should be forgiven. Or not, or…or whatever you're thinking. Thanks for the wand. Don't bother trying to contact me before you've pulled your head out of your arse."

I almost didn't click on it because for some reason the boys referring to each other as "boyfriends" bugs me, but considering it's a big joke for them in this, it's worth clicking. Seriously worth clicking. I'm guessing this might be [livejournal.com profile] busaikko's effort, but I'm pretty bad at the guessing game so don't take me on my word for it.

Now We Are Respectable (The Mature Men Remix) Normally I'm not a fan of ring fics, but in this case I like it. Especially the ending.
