I know there are a few of you on my f-list that are into Harry Potter fanfic and haven't read my monster work in progress, Accidentally In Love. Would any of you be willing to read over a story for me?

Here's the deal: I have a huge subplot with Remus and Regulus. It's totally and completely 100% gen between the two of them, although it does acknowledge the Sirius/Remus relationship of AIL (at the moment- I'm trying to even take that out). I'm very, very fond of this subplot and would like to post it to a few gen communities as a story in its own right. However, there are references to things that take place in AIL and all that. Would someone be willing to read it over and tell me if it makes sense? If there's ends hanging out, I need to know about it. I can't totally see it because I know the story, and the same would be true of anyone who's actually read Accidentally In Love.

I need to work on it a bit, but the story is currently 43 pages in Word (yeah, it's a long one). It's mostly beta-ed in terms of grammar and spelling and all that, and the plot totally makes sense within the context. I just need someone who's not in that universe at all (or who's read Deny Thy Father and maybe Mentors, but not Accidentally In Love) to give it a once over.

Thanks!

I'd be happy to read it for you and niffle out any plot holes or the like. (I read a few early chapters of AIL, but haven't been keeping up 'cause I'm waiting for you to finish it. *g*)

Okay, three questions:

(1) How quick a turnaround do you need? Given a week or two, fine (might only take a day or two, nut might not).

(2) How detailed a response do you need? (See above)

(3) Would it be a major spoiler for AiL? I intend to read that at some point (I've read DTF and Mentors), and I don't really want to know half the twists in advance. :)

Thanks! I'll send it to you sometime this week. No big hurry. I'm debating a.) if I can take out the Sirius/Remus references and b.) if I have to. I probably should since I want to post this to gen communities, but there's a few spots it's definitely not easy. :P

Hmmm. I'm debating how big a spoiler it would be. Probably big enough, which kind of renders questions 1 and 2 null and void. It does refer to a few key points at the moment (although I'm trying to remove those references). But since [livejournal.com profile] ignipes offered, I'll take her up on it since she doesn't seem to mind the spoiler aspect! :)

Thanks though!

I've read AIL but am pretty good about separating "worlds" if you need another beta-reader. I've reread DTF and Mentors really recently so they are more in my head than AIL, anyway.

I'd be happy to read it over if you'd like me to. Up to you!

Thanks Sue! I may take you up on that. I just have to actually get to it....
