Procrastination

Thanks to my mother-in-law, I had an hour to work on my paper today. Which was great, and I did, except there's one problem. I haven't touched this stuff in months. I remember the gist of it, but the details... ugh. I have to go back and reread all my background papers and all my notes as to why was doing what I was doing, and wow, what I have written is rough. Ugh.
Hubby and I have started watching Season 6 of West Wing. Aside from finding the first few episodes incredibly dull (although Third-Day Story is better), I have to admit to some amusement at the fact that biodiesel gets a nod from West Wing. Unfortunately, I wish it got a better nod. It's not that it gets a bad nod, but... there's one episode where Toby and Josh get stranded and are being driven by a truck run on biodiesel. Great little spiel about it, but the truck runs out of fuel. Necessary for the plotline, just... argh. I'd rather they hadn't done that. And then in Third-Day Story, there's a bit about how the biodiesel budget is making their voice heard about how they don't want their funding cut because of peacekeeping. Now, I think this was totally realistic because let's face it- Bush's administration HAS been cutting the biodiesel research budget. I know, because I was on it and I've seen the numbers. But given that it kind of got lumped into people asking for other loony things like the institution of a monarch or the banning of all marriage... I just think a lot about public perception, y'know? Although I did get a fangirling moment when they (accurately) mentioned Peoria. I also got a bit of a bitter moment, because they ARE consolidating most of the biodiesel research there, especially since I left ERRC. I wonder how much longer ERRC will have a biodiesel program, to be honest.

gehayi pointed out, it is kind of funny that there's a biodiesel company called Blue Sun. But not nearly as funny as BioWillie.
Notice how all this wibbling was also not reading articles or typing papers. :P
Ooh, I was going to write a review tonight, too. I don't think that's going to happen. In fact, I'd better get to bed, because I'm tired and Toby's likely to get up early tomorrow. I feel like there was something else I was going to say, but... I don't remember. Oh well.
