Is there anyone out there who is not doing [livejournal.com profile] reverseathon who is willing to listen to me prattle on about my fic for it? I really want to bounce a couple of ideas off people, because this is a VERY different fic for me, but I don't want to ruin the anominity or whatever. I'm just in the outlining stage, but I'd like to set up a filter so I can babble. (Or if you're really bored, AIM me- my online name is Asmeth.)

I did finally remember what I wanted to mention yesterday, too. We're watching Season 6 of West Wing on DVD. I've heard season 7 is good, which is good because season 6 has some of the most boring episodes I've ever seen. Oh, and can we have haloes for St. Santos and St. Vinnick, please? (Of course, what I'm really bitter about is that we don't get candidates like this. But still.)

I do have to say I'd vote Vinnick. In fact, I wish he was real. I'm technically registered Republican, because it was my act of rebellion in college (against other students). I'm actually socially liberal (I support gay marriage or unions (I think the government should stay OUT of religion, which means that I think it should be heterosexual unions as well in the government's eyes), I'm pro-choice in that I'm morally against abortion for me in most scenarios, but I don't think that's a decision I have the right to make for anyone else, and I'm tired of the persecution Arab-Americans are getting.), but I'm also economically conservative. What I REALLY am is Rational Objectivist- don't tell me how to live my life or run my business, and give me lassaiz-faire capitalism. But I keep my Republican affiliation so I can vote in primaries, really. But so far, I love Vinnick, and I'd vote for him over Santos. Although I agree with Santos: raise teacher salaries, end teacher tenure. And yes, I plan on possibly teaching one day.

But what's really bugging me about Season 6 is that I hate most of the characters. Like Josh. Now, I've loved Josh's utter cluelessness, but it's always been balanced out with his willingness to do the right thing. Yeah, he's utterly arrogant, but the humor's made him likeable. Actually, that goes for most of the characters in high positions. But the humor is what's missing. Where's Leo's motherly snark? Jed's utter geekiness? Josh's off-the-cuff, innocent sounding sarcasm? Toby's bite? CJ's sense of humor all together? And what's with Charlie's goatee? I really don't like a lot of these people, and that annoys me, because I used to. Although Annabeth amuses me.

Also, please go ahead and spoil me for the finale. I know Josh and Donna finally hook up (cool), I've heard rumors about CJ and Danny (if I wrote WW fanfic, they'd SO be my OTP- I love them), but I haven't heard about any resolution to Charlie/Zoe. What's the outcome of that, or should I be good and wait and see myself? If the episode where we find out is interesting, don't bother spoiling me, but if it's just a footnote, go for it. (I'm totally rooting for them to get married. I really hoped that Charlie WAS asking in the episode we just watched. I was as disappointed as Jed was, I think, that he wasn't.)

Prattle on to me. I don't have AIM anymore (no more AOL) but you know my e-mail, right?

You can prattle to me as well, when I get in from the mall. AIM: baroquelove, Y!M: pupspwn. Or add me to a filter, because I like listening to other people's ideas grow. Because I'm crazy. :p

Thanks! I was kind of hoping you'd be one, and you'll see exactly why once you see the outline. I've actually set up a filter on LJ, so prattling will be on LJ- nice and easy :)

Thanks! Actually, I set up the filter on LJ, so I can post here and only you guys will see it. Much easier that way.

Nothing happens with Zoe/Charlie, as far as I know. (I missed the first half of S7 - I'm only reporting on what was happening at the end.) Charlie considers following CJ wherever she goes, but ends up getting into Georgetown Law.

I started faltering in my devotion to WW during S6 - I hated the whole campaign thing, necessary though it was (given that Jed couldn't run again). The show fell apart, in my mind, without the cohesive everyone-AT-the-West-Wing thing - with people all over the place, changing jobs, on the campaign, on opposite campaigns, blah blah - snore. I could never remember that S7 switched to Sunday nights, and only came back halfway through the season (and that was WITH reminders from a friend, every blinkin' Sunday) just to see how it ended and how they handled John Spencer's death.

I'm not doing [livejournal.com profile] reverseathon, nor am I on AIM. I'd be interested; feel free to add me to your filter. :-)

Feel free to prattle. I've been bouncing ideas off Lacy all afternoon, having decided that I am not in a mood to go to the gym. I'm KrisLaughs on Y!M and sometimes I'm here even when it says I'm not (vice versa, too).

Yeah. I followed West Wing religiously and exclusively until the fifth season. Then... meh. Something in the dynamic changed. Have the last two seasons in my Netflix queue, but I'm not even that excited for them. Which is kinda sad considering how much I loved the first.

You're added. The post is here (http://lupinslittlesis.livejournal.com/97414.html#cutid1), thanks!

Yeah, that's how I feel about the last two seasons. I LOVED the first few. I think it's loyalty that has me sticking it out. :P
