iPod Help?

So we did eventually get an iPod, but it's far more hubby's than mine. But I walk with it.

I was walking with it today, and the darn thing froze. Didn't go to sleep, no button pushing or shifting of the hold switch helped, and putting it in its docking station did nothing. (it hasn't even gone to sleep.) Does anyone know how to deal with this?

If you go to Apple's website they've steps on there on how to 'reset' your iPod. It usually works.

I think the way they say to reset it is to toggle the hold button and then hold "Menu" on the click wheel simultaneously with the middle button.

Mine froze on me not two days after I got it. Silly electronics.

Have you tried shaking it, pushing buttons at and random and swearing very loudly? That's how I normally deal with technology.

Sometimes it even works.

The Apple website tells you how to reset your iPod (it varies, depending which kind you have). The button pushing is trickier than it looks - it helps to put the iPod on a flat surface and just use the tips of the index fingers. One day, however, it won't come back. And, if it's like mine, it will start eating your music first.

Mine did that, and I didnt think to look on the Apple website (doh!). I just left it battery ran out and it switched itself off, recharged it and it was fine.
