Quick beta request: I'm almost done my rs_small_gifts fic. It's probably going to be about 4000 words, and is nice and happy (for the most part) and PG. Would anyone beside thistlerose be willing to beta for me?

I only know this because I was looking at rules & regs earlier today but they want them to be between 500-3000 words.. I think this is more for the sake of the authors than the recipients, to not put too much pressure on but you might just want to double check that they're not being strict with word counts, etc.
on a less anal note, I can't wait to read yours!!

We are not anal at all! Going over is no prob--the thing was, we wanted to have a relaxed atmosphere to write in with not much pressure. And I think it would be hard to go under, and in that case we shall simply sprinkle copiously with adjectives and adverbs ("My, that certainly is impressive," Remus enthusiastically enthused, directing his gaze in a dwonwards direction. "Yes, I know," Sirius smirked salaciously...)

We have not yet beaten anyone with sticks.... We are friendly! (At least, Maggie is!)

k, cool. I didn't think you were, knowing what I know of you guys :) Good to know for my own fic too (Although after working on my nano I think I've had it with long fics!). And sorry for any sort of alarm, just didn't want Lissa to go to all the trouble and then have to re-edit and all that stuff

I would be willing to snap up any as-yet unread fic beta! I am a professional proofreader and translator with over one year of experience in the fanfic field, and though I can be strict, I have yet to make anyone cry. I think. My addy is busaikkobaby atmark yahoo dotcom.

That said, I might not be able to get around to it until early next week, due to stomach flu (though nice and happy is what I need now, even more than dry toast). So if someone else can do it sooner, take them!
