Things that Make Me Happy Today
Dec. 18th, 2006 12:19 pm1.) I got my packages mailed. Yay! (
werewolf_lib,
magnetic_pole,
krabapple, and
pfrsue, watch your mail for packages.) You'd expect a long rant right now about the chaos of Christmas at the post office, but not from me! Holy cow. When I got in line it was nearly out the door and I was at the counter in less than ten minutes. They were moving people right on through, bang bang bang! Whoohoo!
2.) I think my shopping is done. I'll know as I wrap.
3.) My two holiday fic exchange fics (
hp_holidaygen and
rs_small_gifts) are done, beta-ed, and submitted. I'm pleased with my gen one, and really happy with my Small Gifts one. And I've already gotten my Small Gifts fic, which was fabulous :)
4.) We're going to see the rents for Christmas on Friday. Yay!
5.) I think there were other things, but I don't remember. If my boss doesn't write back in the next two days about my paper, though, I am so submitting it as is. I want it out of here by Christmas.
6.) I skipped working out. Technically, I'm not happy about this. But I am, a little. Although I could still do it later today.
7.) I actually wrote some more of AIL 12. It's coming along like molassas in winter, but it's coming.
8.) Yeah. I don't remember. It's just been a good day :)

Date: 2006-12-18 06:54 pm (UTC)Yeah, I ventured into the post office on Saturday morning, expecting a mob. The line was long (for here), but there were three clerks (the maximum this place can hold), so I was in and out in no time. In contrast, I'd been to the post office a few days prior, with only ONE clerk on duty, so a shorter line took much longer.

Date: 2006-12-18 10:15 pm (UTC)Measure that adorable child's head -- I have a fluffy duckie hat waiting to be finished! Duckies don't like waiting, you know.

Date: 2006-12-20 10:16 pm (UTC)Head was measured today- 18". :) Thanks again so much- the hats look SO cute!
THANK YOU!!
Date: 2006-12-21 03:47 am (UTC)They are delicious! Perfectly chewy and the butteriness complements the burnt sugar taste wonderfully.
Duckie will arrive shortly after Christmas!
I haven't done the eyes yet -- are well-sewn-on buttons okay or is he still at the embroider-everything age(I can never remember what age that is)? Each and every Duckie is custom made so if you want anything special, just let me know sometime between now and Saturday.
