Heard on Sesame Street today:
(There are two goldfish in the bowl- Dorothy and an unnamed fish.)
Elmo: "Goodbye Dorothy! And goodbye, friend of Dorothy!"
Seriously. Who writes these, and how do they get away with it? :)

Date: 2007-02-28 04:40 pm (UTC)And I meant to reply to your post yesterday. I was raised on Sesame Street and my son loved it. I wish I still had all the Elmo & Friends tapes, I'd send them to you. I liked what
You'll find that for every time you said, "I'll never let my child...", there's a time you do. I think as long as you set limits and experience it together it's not too bad.

Date: 2007-02-28 09:58 pm (UTC)As I had no concept of 'roomate', my little brain made the jump that two people sharing a house must be married if they weren't related. Ah, child logic!

Date: 2007-02-28 07:42 pm (UTC)I love it when children's show writers throw in a few laughs for the parents, too.
The spouse and I spent yesterday watching our friend's eight-year-old son. Most of the day was spent at the park but in the evening we watched the animated series of 'Mr Bean' and one episode had an in-joke involving the opening credits of the live-action series. The poor kid couldn't figure out why those crazy grownups were laughing!
