Much exhaustion, but at this point I suspect I'll be bad and stay up to watch Lost, instead of watching it tomorrow on the ABC site. We'll see, but given that I just ate a piece of flourless chocolate cake... probably some staying up will be required.

I love curtains. I know that's a wierd thing to say, but recently, Toby's had this nasty habit of staying up chatting to his stuffed leopard for 30-45 minutes after I put him down, AND waking up at 5:15. My mom was trying to convince me maybe we need to put him down later, but we already put him down at 8:00, and he normally gets up somewhere between 6:15 and 7:00. (Which I'm happy enough with.) Howard and I concluded the issue was the long sunlight, and put up our winter curtains. The past two days he got up at 6:20, and was in a MUCH better mood than when he was waking up and chattering at 5:15. ::fingers crossed it continues.::

I am delighted that reversathon is looking for backup writers, because I had fun doing that challenge last year and totally forgot to sign up in time this year. So I got my choice of prompts to pick from, and let's just say it's not likely people will guess which fic I write. I'm greatly looking forward to it.

I would also be very happy if Remus would cooperate with me. I know I shouldn't expect it, after what I just put him through, but if he could give me a reaction sometime tomorrow that would be nice. Tonight, I'd be happy just to finish my review of The History Boys.

Suppose I should go write that, huh? Yeah.

Ah the beauty of curtains. I can relate! I've been known to duct tape the room-darkening shade to the woodwork (those dang cracks of light!) in kiddo's room during the summer months when the sun rises so early. *looks shifty*

Duct tape IS indeed the best stuff on Earth :)

What's the problem?

So what's the problem? You've got a cute, funky haired blond kid who talks to his stuffed animal when the adults aren't around. You're raising Calvin and Hobbes! ;)

You know, I sometimes wonder if I would want to raise Calvin. On the one hand, he's extremely bright and VERY creative, both traits I want to nuture in a child. On the other hand, he's a terror. :) ::Sigh::

But yeah, we've thought of the Calvin and Hobbes similarities, too :) When he's older, I'll have to make him a Spaceman Spiff suit!

(On a serious note, the reason it was bothering me earlier was it was clear he wasn't getting enough sleep. He was a GROUCH.)
