I was so freaking keyed up last night. I'm excited about the book, and also I was finishing a story for a certain ficfest. I'm actually fairly pleased with it, even though it was outside my comfort zone. But I got it finished and posted. I got the one question I wanted to know about DH answered. (It's slightly spoilery, so I'll put it in another post. If you know me well, you can guess the question.) Toby finally had a messy diaper, which he hasn't had in a few days. I'm still a bit on edge, but not like I was last night.
Toby is in heaven right now. They're doing some sort of construction across the street (something about drainage), and we're having a patio put in. There are construction vehicles out front, and construction vehicles out back. He's glued to the window. It's adorable.
Now that my fic for the fest is done, I definitely have a few things to do.
-Write OotP review. Will do that today. Have MUCH (good) to say.
-Write article on why Joss's female characters are AWESOME for Whedon to Widescreen week at MRFH.
-Find Whedon sites and pimp Whedon week for MRFH.
-Rent and review Hairspray (1988 version), High School Musical, and Grease. This is a good week to do so since a.) it distracts me from DH and b.) hubby's not home to be subjected to these.
-Work on AIL. I think I'd really like to finish, and thinking about the amount of stuff JKR has to stuff in her book and the place I'm at now, I'm kind of thinking I might not get jossed as badly as I fear. What she should address is really the stuff about Halloween, and I haven't gotten that far yet.
-Work on original stuff. The deadline for not working on it was DH.
Okay. Someone wants to watch Sesame Street. I'll do the quick spoiler post and then I'm off!

Date: 2007-07-17 07:09 pm (UTC)Hang in there! Can't wait to re-read the whole AIL, whenever it's done. (And while I can see how new difficult new canon can be from the author's perspective, as I reader I don't care as much.) M.
