So I got my EW today, and needless to say it has much about DH. It's funny- I didn't tear up during many of the deaths in DH, but when I saw the part where they had all the actors' faces of the characters that died, I did. ::sniff::

Also, my favorite new theory on why Ron and Hermione named their kids Rose and Hugo?

They (and JKR) are Lost fans. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Hey, I thought it was funny.

Ugh, sorry about the deleted comment... bad html!

Anyway, I like your theory very much! I thought it might be a shout out to the Hugo Award (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hugo_Award), but your idea is much better. :)

I like that theory - I heard another good one. Rose = Madame Rosemerta, and Hugo is a reference to Victor Hugo which = Viktor.

Twisted but viable.

I was thinking that too. Didn't Rowling teach French for a while? Or live in France, or something. We've got Victoire and Hugo, so... I can believe it's a nod to one of her favorite writers.

I only really teared up when Harry "died". >.> But yeah, I saw the copy of EW too and it made me sad.

By the way, I added you because I'm a fan of your fanfiction. XD

I believe it's totally normal to get sniffly when you see the faces of the actors who represent the characters who died. I don't have that EW yet but when you (universal "you") see the faces, you tend to personalize it and that's where the emotions come in. That's why so many of us, too, "saw" Dan going through the hard parts of the book (particularly burying Dobby and his walk to his death) and got all the more teary eyed because of that.

I have no comment on the kids names. None at all. I don't know what to think about them. I'm slightly squicked, to be honest, about Harry's naming his son and daughter after his mother and father. I "get" it, but it feels a bit incestuous to me. Middle names would have been fine. First names? Eh. Not so much. But that's MHO and others might disagree. :)

It didn't bother me, because I live in a farming district where it's really common for 3 or 4 generations of a family to have the same names, or alternate generations - Joseph's son is named John, then John has a son and names him Joseph, and so on. It's not quite as common with girls' names, but there's certainly families that do it - every generation has an Elizabeth, for example.

hey Lissa, I have a really quick question to ask. Do you mind, if in Collide, I make Sirius' uncle a werewolf like in Mentors? It's a totally one-off reference but since I got the idea from your fic, I thought I should ask. :) Thanks!
