Things I Can Do Without

I'm grumpy, although not in a terrible way. So, inspired by real life and things I see on the internet,

1. My child being in pain. (The inside of Toby's leg got rubbed raw and is now all scabbed over. It's not serious, but it looks like it REALLY hurts, poor thing.)

2. Diaper blow-outs.

3. War, hate, and prejudice, even though I didn't intend on being all that serious.

4. People absolutely insisting that JKR wrote R/T to degay Remus and Tonks. I don't like R/T, but really. I have a lot more faith in JKR than that.

5. People making a vague request on a comm, when the post right before it was the same vague request.

6. Gaining weight with pregnancy.

7. Not being able to sleep at night.

8. Having to wait for Dance of Dragons. How much longer is it???

9. People being super judgmental. (We're all a little judgmental, I suppose.)

10. When the girls next door want to play in Toby's sprinkle pad and their moms say no. I actually wouldn't mind, but their moms are trying to convince them that this is a baby toy and is Toby's toy (playing with him is one thing, taking over his toy and potentially breaking it because they're too big is another). I totally understand their point of view, and I don't say anything during these moments, but I feel like a big meanie :) (But I really respect the moms for it.)

11. The glacial pace AIL 14 is creeping forward at. (Although I'm getting close to the end of this chapter. Yay!)

12. Housecleaning. I still have a lot to do and really don't feel like doing it.

13. Summer heat. Especially when I can't let Toby go swimming because of his leg.

Poor Toby! What happened? Just usual childhood things and nothing awful, I hope.

The spouse recommends using a cream containing arnica to help soothe and heal scrapes and bruises. I don't know if there's an age limit on safe use, but I can say it does make me feel better when I use some.

Yeah, usual childhood thing. He ended up rubbing the inside of his thigh raw. Bad combo of a diaper blowout, several hours in a wet swimsuit, and getting his denim shorts wet later and running around. :P

Oh, me too. I have no idea why I thought it would be a good idea to jump into ANOTHER seven-book series being written at a glacially slow pace.

I know. I guess we did it because it's good.

But they're so dense, and my time is so limited, going back and rereading the series before the next one comes out just isn't an option. ::sigh:: Thank god for fan pages!

I have to agree with you on all of them, but really there's nothing you can do about #6. I think everyone should get pregnant in the summer, so they have warm feet all winter long, my husband loved not having to get into bed with the ice-cubes.

LOL. My thought is that if I can't be comfortable and sleep in bed, why should he? Especially when he snores to top it off :)

I will be SO glad when this pregnancy is all over!
