Real life and writing

lls_mutantJust got back from my parents. MUCH better visit- no unsolicited advice. The boys are exhausted - OT is going to be SO much fun tomorrow. But my sister had a birthday party for her little girl, who turned one. It was awesome :) Her little girl is so freaking cute, and the boys were so good (especially since Toby didn't get a nap and got up a few hours earlier than usual).
So we're adjusting to the idea of this eating bootcamp/day hospitalization program Toby's got to do. It's not like it's the end of the world, or even all that serious, really. But I had a nasty realization this weekend. Hubby wanted to go to Vegas with a friend, and I agreed. But part of the deal was I get to go away for a bit, and we get a vacation away a bit. Until this is sorted, I can't do either of those. It's NOT hubby's fault in any way, shape, or form- it just sucks :P Oh well. Once we know exactly when Toby goes to CHOP, we'll have a better idea of what's possible.
Trevor, on the other hand, started sweet potatoes (his first veggie) this weekend. I couldn't spoon them into his mouth fast enough :)
I'm getting into that itchy phase with my round 2 fic. It's off at the betas', and of course I haven't heard back because it's freaking LONG. But, of course, I'm human, so I'm on edge. (Betas- if you're reading- please don't take that as pressure because I am totally reasonable and realize that darn it, I wrote a LOT and you guys have lives and all!) I am dying to publish this fic, and I am going to have to wait SO LONG. ::sigh:: I also want to rework one of the scenes. Not for any deep reason, but I want to change the setting because I went and looked at a piece of art I really like and say, "hey! I could use that as an illustration!" ::toddles off to look at the piece again::
Must distract myself by writing a review for The Golden Compass for MRFH.
Not sure I have much else of interest to say. Not that that ever stopped me before, but hey. :) I think the bed is calling me, especially since tomorrow is an OT day. Rush hour traffic with a grumpy toddler and a baby- YAY!
