iPod Help?

So we did eventually get an iPod, but it's far more hubby's than mine. But I walk with it.

I was walking with it today, and the darn thing froze. Didn't go to sleep, no button pushing or shifting of the hold switch helped, and putting it in its docking station did nothing. (it hasn't even gone to sleep.) Does anyone know how to deal with this?
