Okay. Webisodes. I've been DYING for this. (If you couldn't tell.)

I'm doing this in two posts. This post has spoilers, but ONLY FOR THIS WEBISODE. Next post has speculation, and that includes spoilers I've found for future webisodes.

I have not found many true Season 4.5 spoilers. Anything I say about Season 4.5 can be construed as my speculation. For those who don't know, since the Final Cylon is hot on everyone's mind, my guess has been Ellen Tigh since the end of Revelations. However, I have a theory- completely unsupported by anything (and mainly because I've thought Gaeta was the Cylon until Revelations), that there are actually eight of the Significant Seven, because come on- 1-6, and then 8? What happened to the Sevens? So my theory is that there are Sevens, but they resisted the genoicide of humanity and got boxed. All except for one sleeper agent in the Fleet, which, obviously, is where Gaeta fits back in. Like I said, though, that's based on nothing.

Okay. Webisodes:

First complaint: TOO SHORT! But I won't be happy until I have all ten :)

Liking the Gaeta/Hoshi, as everyone knew I would. It's not really the fact that they're together- it's that Hoshi is seeming so damn SWEET. I mean, "Go. Feel better. I'll be waiting." Awwww. Even if he did just hand his boyfriend a six pack of morphine right before.

And was it just me, or is anyone else wondering if Gaeta's got a lovely little morpha addiction going?

The Eights. I gotta be honest- I like Sharon. I like Boomer. I would be happy if we never saw another Eight again. I get kind of bored of them, and I don't find them as interesting as some of the other models. Why couldn't it be Threes? Oh, right, because they're all boxed. How about some less-crazy Twos? :)

Tigh in the CIC. Guess he and Bill are gonna make up. I hope so, anyway. Tigh and Bill are my bromance OTP. Nothing should come between that friendship. ::sniff::

The beginning... wow, that's looking bad for Felix. I'm wondering about that list, but I'll speculate more in the other post. They're going to destroy my boy, aren't they? I know he'll get home, because they wouldn't kill off Gaeta in a webisode. But this is going to be rough to watch, I'm sure.

Oh, and they're missing for three days? That tiny raptor must STINK. (I mean, seriously. What are they all doing in terms of waste management?)

More, please!

ETA: Whatever they did to Hoshi's hair is a serious improvement. The guy is kind of a cutie when he smiles :)

Yeah, no kidding. There is no way this is not going to fuck him up. Even if it has a temporary happy ending... you don't live through something like this and go right back to life as you know it :P

I'm trying... trying to not be grossly bitchy.....but really no, I can't see this leaving Felix in an ok place, and I will be *really* shocked if all this trauma is inflicted for a serious plot point.

I would be pleased if it was - because I can see some interesting stuff coming, but really, just torturing Gaeta endlessly and retconning him as the head evil asshole of new caprica will annoy me.

Yeah. That's been really nagging at me. See, there are three ways it can break down for me- no, wait, four:

1.) Killer is Gaeta. That's MAJOR info. Too major for a webisode, I think. I give that one a very low probability.

2.) Killer is a Cylon. Kind of surprising that they'd put it in a webisode, but it would have to be referenced in the show. If a Cylon starts killing humans, that's going to really break the Cylon-human alliance.

3.) Killer is one of the redshirts who snapped. I think this is probably going to be the answer, but even so. This is going to have MAJOR impact on Gaeta. It has to be referenced in the show, doesn't it???? Although the others webisodes were, too, so.... But still.

4.) The jump thing is right, but all the blood and gore and deadly killings is a morpha-induced hallucination/REALLY bad trip. I actually believe this one as my second, but....

I'm hoping they don't make him evil on NC. I'm guessing that maybe the Eight got info out of him somehow, and he was betrayed again? I'm hoping it doesn't totally undo NC.

The frustrating thing is I can easily ally him with Tom in my head without torturing him. Tom has a lot of charisma and a lot of valid points, and all you had to do was make them LIKE each other on New Caprica, and you can get Felix to toss his lot in with Tom no problem. Torture isn't necessary.

I am still hoping that this all comes to a reasonable conclusion. We're only one chapter in, after all. And BSG's shown me previews that I laughed at and then made me turn around and be impressed. But we'll see.

5 pack of Morpha. I paused and went through scene by scene. 5 Morpha needle-thingies, and a warning to not take more than one dosage per 18 hours. So he has almost four days worth of the stuff (assuming one needle = one dosage).

AJ's comment about felix being "in a very dark place by the end of the series" are sounding more and more apt and sad. D:

Huh. I hadn't even thought of that. I just assumed he needed it, not he *needed* it. ;) But maybe. That might be how he's keeping himself together in the CIC.

Hoshi's job in these webisodes is to be sweet. And to rush out and try to find his man when he goes missing. I decree it.

Oh, and I think Felix's too busy being drenched in blood to think about the smell. But Hoshi's going to be pretty grossed out for a minute when he first gets there. Then he'll recover and totally take his PTSD boyfriend into his arms and kiss him in impassioned relief even though he's getting blood all over his uniform. :)

I'm betting he does, and neither he nor Hoshi are aware it's an addiction yet. After all, he IS obviously still in a lot of pain. It hasn't been that long. I'm thinking that he could do with a lesser pain killer, but they're both seeing how much he's hurting and going for the stronger stuff.

There's some guy over on the Skiffy forum (a reputable one, it looks like) who seems to be saying that the full-blown makeout kiss was not shown yet, and that it's still coming. Which makes sense- put your demographic-alienating stuff at the end of your series. :) So, episode 10 for the kiss, please. I'm thinking that they can't end it on Hoshi and Gaeta splitting, because otherwise it would be called "Reasons Why Gaeta Commits Suicide In the First Episode Possible", not "The Face of the Enemy." There's got to be SOME hope at the end, right?

I've got a horrible feeling the full-blown make out kiss that hasn't happened yet is going to turn out to be the Gaeta/Eight kiss. But I have got romantic visions of Hoshi carrying Felix out of the Raptor of Doom in his arms and then passionately kissing him on the decks. In front of Tigh! I'm really looking forward to Hoshi coming out to Tigh next webisode.

Webisodes! I can join a party! I'm late but there is still plenty of SQUEE!

I love Gaeta/Hoshi! But I love Gaeta/almost anyone so I guess that's not special. But I realize I really like Hoshi. They both seem to have similar roles and are both so neglected. But they found each other. Someone brought Gaeta a personal item! Yeah, it's drugs but hey, it still says affection. :-)

No, it's only been a week? Two weeks? Well, I guess he could. But I think he could still be in post-amputation pain too. Either way he was messed up physically before getting on that Viper. Poor guy.

The Eights are interesting because Gaeta knew Sharon. They were friends. There's history there (on N.C. too) and this Eighthena or Sweet Eight or whatever she's called, she has all those memories. So I feel it's the only Cylon he'd connect with. And really, who else could compete with the sweetness of happy Hoshi? Even she holds no candle to Hoshi's devotion. *pets Hoshi* I know Hoshi is waiting for him.

Yes, yes they are. It's BSG. They all get broken. :-( It's going to be hard to watch but I'm steeling myself. I can't imagine what could be rougher than hearing a saw take his leg off. I don't want to imagine worse so I'm focusing on his and Hoshi's happy smiles and I'll cross that bridge when it comes.

Hee! Didn't the viper pilots spend hours in vipers once? Really, is there a head in a raptor? I remember Skulls and Racetrack and even Crashdown spending lots of time out there. There's gotta be a head, right?

HOSHI!!!

Edited for one more squee item. When all ten webisodes air, that's like 30 minutes of extra footage that is ALL ABOUT GAETA. As a vidder, this pleases me very much. :-) Not thinking of all the torturous things they'll do to him in those minutes, but I just like seeing him on screen. Squeee!

I am seriously falling for Lucas Hoshi (I'm sorry, but until they give him a name he's Lucas, damn it! :) ) there. He's kind of dorky, but that smile is just so sweet! (And let's face it. Gaeta is totally dorky. The only reason Hoshi does not show up in The Stories We Tell is because he isn't on the Galactica at before Billy dies and Cavil is outed.)

Morphine is SUPER addictive, though. I've had it (for surgical pain, when I had my C-sections), and even with the tiny amount I had, I had to go through withdrawal. My MIL has to go through it whenever she gets surgery, too. More than I had to, even, because I was healthy and giving birth, so I only needed one shot.

But my theory (unspoiled, so don't worry) is that neither Gaeta nor Hoshi realize that Gaeta's an addict yet. Because he IS in a hell of a lot of pain, and he IS hurting and does need something. They might be just starting to realize it- Gaeta started to defend why he needed it, which suggests to me maybe they've had a conversation about this before. But I read somewhere that a lot of vets become drug addicts in just this way- they get started on pain meds.

There's history there (on N.C. too) and this Eighthena or Sweet Eight or whatever she's called, she has all those memories.

I'm curious to see what they're going to do with the Eights. That kiss looked Sharon/Gaeta to me, but it also didn't look bloody and gross, so I'm guessing flashback. The unfolding paper reminded me very much of NC, so flashback might not be terribly off base. As long as Stalker8 keeps her hands off Felix (or, more importantly, he keeps his hands off her) in present time, I don't care what they did in the past. But no cheating on Hoshi, Felix, do you hear me? We've been saying Hoshi's not allowed to break your heart, but after that sweet smile, the same thing goes for you- you're not allowed to break Hoshi's heart!

Seriously, though. The way they smiled at each other after they kissed.... And that Hoshi was in Felix's memories there.... And someone is willing to actually care about Felix. That's something he's been sorely lacking, and I hope it continues! (Even if it never gets mentioned on the show- just get to the end of the webisodes together, guys, and I can imagine you stay together.)

Oooh! This reminds me of a fic that millari is writing! I did think of that briefly when recounting Sharon/Gaeta history in my earlier comment. But on NC with some random Eight? It feels so late to go back to that now. And this particular Eight has those memories? Okaaay. I don't even think they need to do that. I feel Sharon and Felix have enoough of a connection without some late-at-this-date flashbacks.

Yeah- look at the clothing Gaeta's wearing in the promo pics. It's his New Caprica clothing. He's got his duty blues on in the Raptor. I'm guessing NC flashbacks.

I'm wondering about this. The first part... I wonder what Gaeta had to do on NC. I'm not saying he was corrupt, but what did he have to do to convince the Cylons he was cooperating? I'll bet it wasn't all pretty.

The second... if he does, it's gonna be the murderer and clear self defense, I think. Otherwise, "Felix Gaeta kills someone" is just too big to put into a webisode and not an episode, unless it's in self defense.

But it should have a little to do with the greater plot. Maybe they find something out there! Yeah, Gaeta could find the real Earth even all tripped out. Cause even on drugs he's good at his job. :-)

I'm still having fun speculating! All of this time and thought spent on Gaeta! I thought the show didn't care about him at all but even though he gets all brokey, I am so happy to have him on my screen!
