Point #1. So drunk. Have not been this drunk since Geekfest, which was in 05. Not as drunk as I was at Geekfest, but drunker than I've been since then.

Point #2. Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog Commentary is the funniest thing ever.

Point #3. Burned my finger on the caramels. Bad because a scientist should know that when you stick a thermometer in something and it reads 250 degrees Fahrenheit, it will be HOT. Stupid Lissa.

Point #4. You will know the truth clues. Is that Felix saying a pity frak is out of the question? If so, I wonder who he is saying it to and how bonkers he is at that point. Am so biased. Thought Zarek was speaking to Felix at the beginning. The day of reckoning line is definitely Gaeta. And then the pity frak. But that might not be him- could be Lee. Would be classic, however, if he said it to Baltar.

Point #5. Still drunk, and still think Commentary! The Musical! is fucking hysterical. See? I'm totally drunk. I used "fucking" outside of fic.

ETA: Point #6. Oh yeah- the non-con meme. If you could force me to write anything (besides original fic or Accidentally In Love), what would you force me to write?

Point #4: That is *totally* Gaeta saying the pity frak line. I am sure of it. And yes, that line totally needs to be said to Baltar, and shortly after the line about restaurants shaped like food, when Felix has gone seriously bye-bye and doesn't give a frak anymore. I'm also fascinated to know if the "you know what I'm talking about - our little secret" (definitely Baltar) line, the "pity frak" line and the "restaurants shaped like food" line all occur in the same conversation. Because in that interview that I'm sure you've seen, AJ made it sound like they only get one scene together in Season 4.5 - the intense scene. If all of these lines are in one scene, I will definitely be on the edge of my seat!

But Felix is *not* allowed to be saying that "pity frak" line to Hoshi though, in the middle of an ugly breakup. Not allowed.

Point #6: Heh. I'd say Baltar/Gaeta fic where Baltar is actually genuinely *nice* to Felix, but you actually just wrote that for Falafel! :)

Actually, I'd be curious to see what you would do with a fic about Caprica Six. I somehow get the feeling you'd write a really interesting piece from her POV.

Actually, you know who I could see him saying the pity frak line to? Dee. I could see him getting very frustrated with her "helping" him- it seemed like they sort of pointed that way in Revelations. And I could see him really resenting her pity. Plus, I also think Dee will support Adama no matter what, and Gaeta's going Zarek, so I think Dee and Felix are in for a big fight. ::sniff:: So I could see him yelling the pity frak line after her as she storms away or something. Especially if she's trying to do everything for him or something.

I am thinking that we are going to see more screentime from Gaeta than we were anticipating, though. Either that or they're showing us everything he's got in the teasers.

Cap Six would be interesting. Hmmm. (I think I'm gonna sit down and finish my Gaeta/Narcho today, though, assuming the kids nap. I seem to want to write extremely angsty and bitter sex, which is the way Gaeta and Narcho are shaping up.)

James didn't actuallt say that. He said that Baltar didn't reciprocate Gaeta's feelings. He never said whether or not Baltar/Gaeta were touched on in the show. AJ's interviews seem to suggest they are going to delve into "what's really going on with Baltar and Gaeta". With the "pity frak" line being voiced right after the "little secret" line (obviously from the Baltar/Gaeta scene) I think they must go together. Plus Felix still sounds drunk/crazy when he says this. I'm keeping my bets on Baltar. It's gotta be Baltar.

I really don't think Hoshi is going to die, at least not early. For Hoshi to die and Gaeta to have a reaction they would have to set up the relationship in the show, then kill it straight away. That'd been OTT. There's already enough stuff going on with Gaeta. I think it's more likely than Hoshi will linger in the background for most of 4.5 then towards the end of the series we might get some Gaeta/Hoshi hints to tie in with the webisodes.

I hope you're right on both counts! I'd like it to be Baltar. But the crazy way Felix says it, it almost sounds like he could say it to anyone. (My other guess is actually Starbuck.)

I really hope you're right about Hoshi, too. I'm actually starting to like the character, so I'd like him to stick around. JE seems to be very fond of the stuff in Hoshi's Raptor in the webisodes- I'm curious to hear what all he has to say. (And very convinced he is madly in love with Felix. I don't think I'm wrong about that one at all.)

Hmm, I'm torn, because on the one hand, if Falafel is talking about the question James got about being "opposed to a romance on the show" at some con in December, what he said was a bit ambiguous, but he seemed to be saying that while AJ was playing Felix as having romantic feelings, he was playing Baltar as completely clueless to Felix's feelings, saying Baltar has such a "gargantuan ego" that it wouldn't occur to him that it wasn't simple hero worship and that he would be very surprised. On the other hand, James may have been trying to conceal a plot reveal, which might explain why he sounded (to me) not entirely comfortable as he answered the question. (Lots of stops and false starts at first, punctuated by "um..." and "ah..." going on a lot as he formulated his response.)

I hold out a slight hope that Felix says it during the "restaurants shaped like food" conversation and we get to see Baltar completely gobsmacked to realize that he broke Felix's heart along with his idealism.

Oooh. I didn't realize he said it quite that way. I only watched it the once, and the thing I definitely took from it was James didn't think it was ever requited.

(The one thing I do disagree on. I do think that if Gaeta ever offered Baltar a blowjob, something happened. Because would Baltar turn down head? From anyone?)

You know, it's such a strange quote for Felix, I almost have been wondering if AJ improvised it at some point, like the "Got any porn in there?" line.

I really hope you're right about Hoshi. And hmm...maybe I could see him saying it to Dee. Maybe. I think the only way those words could plausibly come out of reserved Felix's mouth is either a) He's completely lost all his inhibitions - either due to drunkenness or plain old losing his mind OR b)it's someone he's very close to and therefore comfortable speaking in that way to, a lover (Hoshi) or close friend (Dee). Because while the line is uttered very angrily, there's an edge to the delivery that makes it sound like in another more appropriate time and place, Felix might actually want to frak whoever it is to whom he says the line.

I agree with you about all this indicating more screentime for Gaeta. I still remember RDM saying cryptically in a Q&A, "Big things for Gaeta in Season 4."

Yeah, 250 C would have REALLY sucked. I'd like to think I wouldn't have been that stupid, but the little story that Baltar tells in Youth's Final Luxury, where he put the jet fuel filter into the carbon analyzer? The usual punchline when I tell that story is jet fuel + oxygen + heat = 800 dollars in damage and one very angry professor. Fortunately, my own advisor just shrugged and said "that's why we don't insure graduate students."

(Of course, he told my husband "just turn the engine over, and I'll catch the pressure sensor in my bare hand!" He had to go to the emergency room to have it removed, and when my husband went back into work, he found the biohazard bag on his desk.)

The commentary is a MUSICAL. It's not just commentary with Joss and Nate- they SING IT. It's AWESOME :) Even sober I would have died laughing.

Heee. Felix/Dee. You know, I've actually been contemplating that at some point, but they would have ended up not working out. I had an idea for a fic after the attacks where Felix didn't want to die a virgin and Dee offered, and it was total proof that he was gay because he just couldn't get it up for her and they ended up laughing their asses off. ::Looks at the Felix/Narcho one where they're beating the shit out of each other and thinks that maybe she SHOULD try writing something a little more lighthearted.:: I did write Felix/Billy/Dee, but I don't think he and Dee so much as touch each other in that.

Heee! (what does he mean they don't insure grad students? I had pretty good insurance, actually.) I never really worked with anything potentially explosive, but I did once drop a (glass!) bottle of radioactive phenol on the floor. Good thing I'd actually changed out of my flip-flops before starting the radioactive work! As it was, I slipped out of the clogs I was wearing and left them with the pile of radioactive volatile organic + glass for the environmental health and safety guys. And when I came in the next day, our technician told me "so you shoes are in a bag in the hood behind a shield. They said you could wait for the ³²P to decay, and the phenol to evaporate, but they've also got glass shards in them." I'd have waited for the other stuff, but I didn't much feel like picking glass out of them, so I just dumped the lot into the solid waste.

Everyone needs at least one story like that from grad school. ;-)

Sorry for replying to 'old' stuff but I was gone for a week so... um, yeah.

- A backstory for poor poor "I think I love you more than you like me" Louis. (that's a song by The Streets, I find it pretty apt all things considered)
- BSG + vampires. (The vampire in my book has decided he is Alessandro, which is actually working out rather nicely, so Battlestar Vampirica has been tumbling around my head for a while but I need to focus on said book not fanfic)
- Baltar/Gaeta "we've both lost our minds, let's frak" kinda loony smut fluff? Is that a genre?
- Missing scenes showing why Felix got his tattoos, why he chose the tiger and the ouroboros (I think it's an ouroboros, anyway, and it'd fit with all the pseudo-Greek-ness of the show, right?)
