Fic Rec and Eating Hospital
Dec. 31st, 2008 02:27 pmFirst, a fic rec. The gift for me was finally posted at
rs_small_gifts, and the wonderful
sambethe decided to do my request for a HP/BSG crossover. Unfinished Business is a story where Alice and Lily accidentally pull Felix Gaeta into 1980's Wizarding England. (Bear in mind these are meant to be short, so if you're interested in the hows you might be a little disappointed, but the what happens are fun and what I'm far more interested in and wanted.) Felix and Sirius strike up a friendship, it's PG if that, and it's nice and short (but not too short) and awesome. Go read it.
Thank you everyone who wished me luck with orientation yesterday. It went well, aside from the traffic. (The traffic SUCKED, and that was lighter than what it's going to be.) Apparently we're eligible for the Ronald McDonald House, which is something I hadn't considered. We might think about it. As I anticipated, the orientation was fine and at least helped me picture what this is going to be like, and I liked the psychologist very much. It's gonna be a hard month- can we start it already? That's really what's killing me now- the waiting.
Also, watched the commentary for webisode #7.
Jane was talking about how she was glad they'd gone for the kiss instead of the sex on New Caprica, because it suited this "sweet little romance." Um, sweet????? In webisode 8, the Eight has all the people on Felix's list killed. How is this a SWEET little romance, at least from her side? Yeesh.
Jane, sweetie, I can see how you mean it's sweet now, but it's clearly not sweet later. especially when he guts her with the scalpel.
