Not much happened tonight. So why do I feel like crying???

I know why. The show is ending. Galactica is ending. Watching the Galactica go down is like watching Serenity die, times 100. Like watching the Millenium Falcon explode. Galactica dying bothers me more than Gaeta dying, because it really is the end, and she really is the life force in the show.

I'm sad the show is ending, because damn, I love it. On the other hand, I'm glad, too. They killed my favorite characters (although I'm sure if the show wasn't ending they'd probably still be alive), and they are doing some things I don't like. (The whole love=baby thing- even if it's just a belief, PUKE.) I want the show to go out strong. But I'm going to miss it, and I'm going to sob at the end.

I think I felt this way because I love the character, but I really felt like Gaeta's ghost was lingering tonight. I felt like Bill felt it when he looked at the Admiral pins in his hand. When Helo asked to go searching for his daughter and he couldn't let him go. When he had to bury his people. I felt like Gaius felt it when he talked about angels among us. When Caprica said he hadn't changed. When Starbuck confronted him in the bathroom, in the stall. (Which was also hysterical.) I'm not sure that it really was meant to be there, but for me, it really was.

Also, while I'm on the subject, a.) Dee was on the wall- where the heck is Gaeta???, and b.) they're really making me wait on Hoshi. My two theories are that Hoshi will go down with Galactica (which hell, makes sense because he's the only one left that can fly the damn thing, unless Anders goes full on hybrid), or that Hoshi ends up on the surface or in command of the rest of the fleet or something, going on and leading the human race and having that bright future that Gaeta spoke of.

Other predictions:

-Sam will jump the Galactica to The Colony, thus solving the problem of actually finding it through any sort of logic.

-I'm now gonna say Daniel is NOT Starbuck's father and she's not a hybrid like Hera.

-Adama and Roslin are going to die. (Duh.)

Aaaand... that's all I've got.

Other thoughts:

-Starbuck confronting Baltar while in the bathroom was really funny and in character. But what was up with her slapping him? Howard and I agree that she should have punched him or kneed him in the groin. Much more Starbuck.

-Lee, sweetie, wait until the woman's husband is actually dead (oh- another prediction- Starbuck will kill Sam because she can't bear to see him like this) until you make your move on her.

-Interesting that Starbuck's picture ended up between Kat and Dee.

-EJO is very fond of choppy editing, jumping from image to image, isn't he?

-Baltar made me cringe when he started going on about life eternal. ::sigh:: Time and place.

-I want to hug my boys very, very, very hard right now. (Toby and Trevor, I mean. Thinking of Hera.)

-Hera projecting the cupcake was adorable.

-Boomer is going to bite Cavil in the ass. And no, I don't mean that literally.

I am so going to cry in two weeks, aren't I????

No more Boomer/Cavil, okay show? Some of like our eyes in their sockets. ::sigh::

It's either going to be Sam or Racetrack that finds The Colony. I saw she's out of the brig. (Which makes sense, because they also have to find a habitable planet. I figure Sam can find one and Racetrack can find the other.)

I caught the midnight replay . . . so I'm still recovering. I am SO with you on Starbuck slapping. About two seconds after that happened I threw popcorn at the screen. Well, actually I threw an action figure (which missed, thankfully) but if I'd had popcorn I would have thrown it.
I saw Gaeta parallels too. He so rarely takes those insignia off that I don't see how they can mean anything else. And the "one Raptor" moment and the angst over whether Sam would take over the networked jump drives and Tigh badmouthing the "toasty repair crews" and . . . (sob). Here's to hoping they actually say his name before the end.
Unfortunately, the long wait on Hoshi makes me think he'll be more of a side note--maybe just a line or two with him joining the one way mission. We can dream . . . and we can fic.
We're all going to cry in two weeks.
And I laughed very very hard at the image created by your last "other thought."

Isn't it sad that we just want someone to say his name? Although I've got this idea now for a Five things fic of five people who don't pin Felix's picture to the wall, and the one who does (and that one being Adama.) But it could get jossed so quickly... I might hold off on writing it.

I think Hoshi might be a bit player, like Kelly was in the mutiny arc. I really think he's either going to die or end up being the military leader, because come on- who else is left? Starbuck will go with Adama (I think). Helo will go with Adama. Tigh will go with Adama. Gaeta's dead. Dee's dead. Lee will go civilian and be president. Hoshi and Hot Dog rule the Fleet! YES!

I'm so going to cry in two weeks. ::Sigh::

I have one to add to the "not going to make it" list. I have an awful, awful feeling Helo isn't going to make it. And then I'm going to have to cut someone.

Right there with you on the Starbuck thing. Is she going soft or something? A slap? That's it??

I know you love Boomer, but I'm a little sick of her at this point. She can't seem to make up her mind what she wants to do/be. Course, there's a lot of conflict going on with everyone right now. Everything is off-kilter.

Actually, I don't love Boomer much- that's someone else. I like Boomer okay, but she's not one of my pets. And I totally agree with you that everyone can't seem to figure anything out. ::Sigh:: I'm actually sort of glad the show is ending, because I think they're starting to run out of ideas and it's best if the show goes out awesome. (Plus they did already kill my favorite two characters. ::pouts::)

Just two more weeks....
