Am a bit drunk. Am posting largely because I'm apparently entertaining when drunk. Well, at least I think so. And aren't you impressed I can html code while drunk? I sure am.

If you read BSG fic, go over to gaeta_squee and read kappamaki33's new fic "Five Times Dee Didn't Play Cards and One Time She Did" or something like that. It's really, really sweet, and I like Dee. There needs to be more Dee fic. LOTS more Dee fic. You know what I really want? Dee and Racetrack friendship fic. Or Dee and Seelix, which I suppose makes more sense in canon and then you have to deal with Dee knowing that Seelix was all for tossing her best friend out the airlock at one point (although she was so busy bitchfighting with Hoshi she never really quite realized it, thank you VERY much for my own personal canon insisting on asserting itself), but Dee-some female friendship fic.

I miss having a female best friend who lives near me :P Can ya tell?

Had good night. Watched Dark Knight. Nowhere near as dark and depressing as everyone said. Bummed that Harvey Dent went the arc he did. Who was the actor? He was pretty cute. ::hits IMDb:: Oh, that was Aaron Eckhart? I can see what the fuss is about. It did not dawn on me that Gordon was Gary Oldman. Bad Sirius Fan. No cookie for you. (Seriously. I'm dieting. I shouldn't have had the wine I drank, either.) And could someone please explain to me why Nestor Carbonell (Richard/the Mayor, for those who aren't fucking around on IMDb) always looks like he is wearing eyeliner? So glad Sawyer finally mentioned it in LOST. I thought it was worn for the part, but he looks like he's wearing it here, too. He's pretty cute, though, although I keep thinking he looks like Will from Will and Grace.

Hmm. Am very coherent for the amount of wine drank. Am impressed with self, even if I seem to be attempting to badly channel Bridget Jones, but without British accent. (V. v. American.) Oh, I guess he doesn't wear eyeliner. Hmm. Not so coherent a segue.

Maybe should sleep. Final question for the evening: if Rorschach and Bridget Jones had baby, how terrifying would that be??????

It does need more female friendship fic in general. Which so explains why I keep writing the guys. :P I need to write the girls more often! (And even when I'm going to do Dee, it's a big thing with Hoshi and the other big presence is going to be Narcho. Where are the girls in my head????)

There's this movie, it was called "Travelling" but they changed it to "Brand New Day," Aaron Eckhart and AJ are in it. Their collective yumminess will surely cancel out the fact that Jennifer Aniston is also in said movie.

Is it bad that I want to see this movie almost solely because Rekha Sharma and AJ are listed as "Nose Ring" and "Tattoos," respectively? Though Eckhart is definitely a plus. ;)

Originally, he was disfigured when he was questioning a witness who threw acid on him. The change might not have jarred me so much if they hadn't made it all about the girl. Who was already terrible in Batman Begins. And when they couldn't get Katie Homes to play her again (I'm not too terribly broken up about that), they should have just not brought the character back. @@

Our fandom needs more friendship fic in general, but female in particular seems to be sparse. Fortunately, I've snagged a prompt for the femgenficathon, so there's time to remedy that! Who's with me? (makes viva la revolucion posters)

Oh, goodie! I'm doing femgenficathon too. I think I'm doing Seelix, with maybe some Racetrack. Although there's a big attraction to doing Paulla and her pipe of smiting as well....

I want to write giggly girlfriend fic for Dee. The problem is she doesn't seem to have one- the closest she's got is Gaeta. I also need to make a Dee icon. I REALLY want to make a Dee-Hoshi icon, but I'm not sure they were ever on the screen at the same time :P

I think for girlfriend fic we may need to leave the realm of canon entirely. If you're looking for someone to giggle with Dee, what about Cally? I don't remember canon interactions between the two, but we did see Apollo and Tyrol getting together to toast "Marriage: the reason we build bars." It'd be interesting to see the dynamic reflected in their better halves.

My muse has been hitting Cottle's magic stash and is now pestering me to write more Starbuck. Dunno if anything will come of it. I suppose she and Racetrack/Seelix/Boomer/somebody could theoretically have been friends before the whole shooting-at-each-other intervened, but she's so self-destructive that it's hard to picture her in any kind of healthy relationship--even platonic. I suppose in the spirit of the show, I could just write another piece about lonely, miserable people doing lonely, miserable things, but I'm really in the mood for something different.

Apparently, he just has really dark eyelashes. They actually addressed the question in an interview. But he is a cutie.
