Oooh! I can procrastinate writing! :)

It's icon meme time again, folks!
1. Reply to this post (putting up your hand), and I will pick six of your icons.
2. Make a post (including the meme info) and talk about the icons I chose.
3. Other people can then comment to you and make their own posts.
4. This will create a never-ending cycle of icon glee.
musesfool asked me about the

knittinggoddess made this one- I found it off one of her icon posts. It's one of my favorites. One of my favorite gags in Calvin and Hobbes is his lucky rocket ship underpants. In fact, both my husband and I keep an eye out for rocket ship boxers. :) I used to use this one just as a general icon, especially when I'm in a good mood, and I still do, but I find I'm using it more and more for Toby posts. (I used to use the one of Sirius and Harry, but both my boys are getting a lot bigger than that now.)
Also? If you ever want to read an awesome story, check out Theories About Nuclear Winter by
hollycomb. Calvin and Susie in high school, and really just a very compelling coming-of-age story in itself. This one has stayed with me for a long time.

"Check it out," my friend Lou told me. "The guy who plays Faramir? He played Audrey in Moulin Rouge!."
"No way," I said, because I really could not believe him.
"He did, too," Lou told me. "Check IMDb."
I checked IMDb. And yes, in fact, David Wenham really does play both parts. Personally, I think this fact is hysterical and needs to be shared with as many people as possible, partly because I can't imagine two more different roles and partly because the world needs to appreciate David Wenham's acting talent more.
And it really is funny :) I also use this icon for my Reversathon fics.

This is one I got off a West Wing icon community-
p_inkjeans made it. I don't remember its context, but I am 90% sure it was said by Jed Bartlet. I use it when either a.) I'm feeling stupid because I should have realized something, or b.) I feel like my Ph.D. is... not going to waste, but not exactly being used when I stay home with the kids. It's a very good icon for me a lot of days.

This is my Mutant Reviewers from Hell (aka MRFH) icon. I've been writing for MRFH for over five years, and reviewed over a hundred movies. (Oh yeah,
aome, my review of Star Trek is here.) The M is our logo. I thought about trying to do one with my name banner:

but it doesn't quite fit. But I love the cartoon version of me that Poolman drew. I think it's adorable. But yeah, it's a fun site to write for, with a great bunch of people, and I'm really glad I've been writing there for so long.

This is one of my favorites that I ever made. I made it back in the heydey of Harry Potter fandom. Much as I love BSG, it can't even compare to HP in terms of wank. (Especially in the Gaeta corner, where we all seem to get along and the fic is awesome, and we all just gleefully ship him with anyone available rather than fighting over an OTP.) And as annoying as wank can be, let's face it- the drama is fun. Even if it's just fun to point and laugh. But the picture is me, and I'm actually watching Open Water. I originally used this picture for my review of Open Water, which is one of my favorite (albeit not one of my best ;) ) reviews I've ever written. I hate sharks, and I hate horror movies. Guess how much I liked Open Water?

I get a kick out of this one. I made it after the second Face of the Enemy webisode aired. It's a screencapture of Tigh right at the moment he figures out that Hoshi and Gaeta are a couple, and he just sort of... well, I like to say he squees as much as Tigh can, but does sort of melt. It's a sweet moment- I think someone compared it to the Grinch's heart growing- and it was a really nice way to show the (previously mostly nonexistent) attitude about homosexuality in the Colonies. Hoshi and Gaeta weren't hiding their relationship because they were gay; they were being discreet about it because they were co-workersand because it was TOTALLY tacked on. And Tigh also realizes that Hoshi's in love and he can't just sit on Galactica and do nothing, and if Saul had a chance to save Ellen- even if it was just a slim chance of taking a Raptor and jumping place to place and taking Racetrack, which considerably ups your chances of success, he would TOTALLY do it, so he HAS to let Hoshi go try to save the person he's in love with because he wishes he had that chance himself... It's a nice moment. I like it :)
Well, that was fun :) Anyone else want to play? :)
