Sep. 23rd, 2009 08:54 pmI itch. I actually did some gardening today, and almost all of the weeds had prickers. Although how I got scratched across my back is still a mystery.
Boys were a terror. Icon is appropriate. Good God, how long does it take them to eat a meal?
Have not run since Sunday. Suspect I will regret this come Saturday, when I go running again. The guys and I seem to have agreed that we will do a marathon next year, but can not agree on which one. Frankly, Philly makes the most sense, unless we can get into New York. I'm not sure it's a great idea to travel much further. But we've tossed around Chicago, SanFran, Charleston, Disney... (Disney makes sense for me, too, as my mother lives in Orlando, but at the same time, it's in JANUARY, which means December 20 miles runs.) But Philly really makes the most sense.
I am trying to write my big bang. It's weird. Sometimes, I write a line or a section and I just KNOW I nailed it, and then I get hung up. The line I just wrote is... yeah, it hit me, and it hit me hard. And now I'm trying to finish the next line. Help?
Tigh's POV: Conoy was gawking at Hoshi like ... like what? What would Tigh compare it to? (Hoshi just said something that a Two would consider VERY sacrilegious.)
Maybe Tigh wouldn't go for a simile. Maybe I should just end the sentence.
Anyway, I think I need a bath to deal with the itching. This update has been pointless and brought to you by one of the two people I know on LJ not watching Glee. :)

Like... like Hoshi had just kicked a puppy??
As though... as though the lieutenant had sprouted several extra limbs and eyes?
IDK, I haven't been feeling particularly creative lately. *glances at all the fic she owes people, sighs deeply*

Date: 2009-09-24 01:18 am (UTC)I had my "please deal with YOUR children before I kill them" day yesterday. Two pissed me off again first thing this morning but after that it went better.
San Fran - the Nike women's marathon? Or the regular SF marathon so that your menfriends can join in? Will's done the Disney half (and is doing it again this coming Jan, assuming his knee heals) - do that only if you feel you and your tykes will be ready to take on Disneyland in 15 months. Also, a) the race starts OBSCENELY early, because you are supposed to be done before the park actually opens and b) Will said it was kind of weird to run through the backstage areas. Another option - although it's not so flat - we have a charity marathon here in mid-September, with proceeds helping a local agency which supports learning/developmentally disabled kids and adults. That would give you a different change of scenery from the course you've just done, without going far away. I suppose another choice would be to run Boston for charity - you don't need a qualifying time to do that.

Date: 2009-09-24 01:59 am (UTC)It comes across as very Tigh-ish to me for him to start a simile in his head, but then not be able to finish it, and do a mental equivalent of "Oh, frak it, who cares"

I was going to nominate Bloomsday for your running edification; alas, it's 12 km, not marathon-length. I think Portland has a marathon.....

Date: 2009-09-25 12:22 am (UTC)So... I thought I should ask you. I am very tentatively writting a fic about Dee being alive during the mutiny, which was mostly inspired by your thoughts on Admiral Dee. It would basically involves her falsely confessing to being part of the mutiny in order to try to protect Felix. If I ever get this written (and we all know the likelihood of that, seeing my track record with finishing what I start) I was wondering if I could have your permission to steal your idea a little and have Hoshi be the suicide?

Date: 2009-09-26 05:58 pm (UTC)OMG WRITE IT!!!! :) Feel free to have Hoshi be the suicide.
Really, given all the characters putting guns to their heads or saying "GO AHEAD, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? JUST DO IT!" when someone points a gun at them, suicide on BSG (even Hoshi) is hardly my idea ;)
