bsg_remix signups end in three days! (February 7) Last year it was a fantastic challenge and a lot of fun, and it looks like it will be this year, too. Come one, come all!
I need to make calzones more often. I've never seen Toby clean his plate so fast with a new food, and Trevor gobbled it down as well, although he clearly did not like the ricotta cheese parts.

3.) Remus Lupin/OCs are actually something I like, if the OC is well written. I could read Remus/Regulus. And I have to admit, I liked writing unrequited Remus/Peter, where Remus was in love with Peter.
4.) Ah, crack. Remus Lupin/Arthur Weasley. I actually LOVE them paired together in gen fic. I'm not much on pairing Remus with women- I don't know why.
5.) Remus Lupin/Lily Potter. James was in love with Lily, and Severus was in love with Lily. That's enough for any fictional character. Plus, I think James being in love with Lily would have made Remus very reluctant to even glance sideways at her.

Date: 2010-02-05 01:56 am (UTC)1.) Topher/Bennett. Totally my Dollhouse OTP. Their geekiness, their awkwardness, their hero worship of each other, and their "I'll thwart you at every turn if I have to" was just AWESOME. We needed more Topher/Bennett.
2.) Topher/Ivy. I always wanted him to see her for more than just a gopher.
3.) Topher/Claire has a really, really frakked up fascination with it.
4.) I'm not sure there are enough people to do crack. The dolls... I can't do crack and sex with them. Topher/Boyd would be major crack, but I think they'd both recoil in horror at the idea. Topher/Sunlight? :)
5.) Topher/Adelle. I totally see a mother/son vibe there, and anything else squicks me.
Hermione:
1.) Hermione/Ron: I thought it was obvious they were good for each other right from the start. I might not always love how JKR writes romance, but there was a lot I liked about Hermione/Ron.
2.) Hermione/Viktor. I always thought that was such a sweet relationship, and I LOVED how the jock went for brains. That was fantastic. I'm glad she and Viktor stayed friends.
3.) Hermione/Harry, Hermione/Ginny. Both of those appeal to me on the friends-then-lovers level.
4.) Hermione/Percy. I think they'd kill each other, but the idea amuses me anyway.
5.) Hermione/Draco. No. Just... no.

2.) Past-Andromeda/Neville's grandmother. Because you know two strong women like that would be AWESOME.

5.) Anything Blackcest. I know incest is popular in the fandom, but I just don't get it.

Date: 2010-02-05 02:21 am (UTC)1.) Gaeta/Hoshi. I know canon-Hoshi is more of a function than a personality and the relationship was tacked on, but I still like the idea that Felix was happy with him.
2.) Gaeta/Narcho. I never would have thought of it without the webisodes, but after writing The Touch of Your Grace, I fell in love with it for the same reason I liked Gaeta/Hoshi- I want to see Felix happy.
3.) Gaeta/Skulls frak-buddies.
4.) Gaeta/Zarek definitely qualifies as crack, and for crossover, Gaeta/Astrid from Fringe.
5.) Gaeta/Baltar. I do like it, and I don't. I totally think it should be canon. If I'm writing Felix at all seriously, I can't not have him at the very least in love with Baltar, but I usually have Gaius sleeping with him. I think Gaius did care about Felix. I think Felix's death really did change Gaius. But I also think their relationship was so frakked up, and it's just not one I can envision as happy for long.

Date: 2010-02-05 12:40 pm (UTC)1.) Sam/Mallory. I really liked the dynamic between the two of them. She was spunky and could stand up to him, and practical enough to offset Sam's dreamier tendencies. Plus, I thought the idea of him dating his boss's daughter was entertaining, although it played out a lot better with Charlie/Zoe, who are in my top 3 WW pairings. (My top three WW pairings are CJ/Danny as my OTP, Abby/Jed, and Charlie/Zoe.)
2.) Runner up... Sam/Ainsley. I think they could have made an interesting pairing. I like Ainsley a lot, especially because she kind of embodies aspects of the Republican party that I like- the "stay the hell out of my life" type of stuff. And plus, Ainsley is just fun.
3.) I don't think I have any runner-up pairings, but I really like the mentor (completely non-sexual) relationship that sometimes appears between Sam and Zoe.
4.) Okay, I can't remember his name, but the guy that played Chandler played a gay lawyer... lawyer or Congressmen, I forget which. That is totally my crack pairing for Sam, because wow, there were some vibes there.
5.) Sam/Josh. I get why people like it- they're great friends and they really support each other through everything. And I actually don't think they'd make a bad couple. But I really like them as friends/brothers.
And because this is fun- Dee!
1.) Dee/Billy. Dee/Billy was my first OTP for BSG. I loved seeing the pretty, smart girl go for the brains, and I thought that Dee's confidence against Billy's cluelessness was adorable. And Billy was such a good person- I liked that for Dee, who is just such a wonderful girl. (BTW- what crest is that behind her in the icon?) I was bummed they had to break them up, and while I don't like how they did it, I don't hate Dee for it at all. She didn't handle it as well as she could have, but who among us DOES?
2.) Dee/Narcho is actually my runner up pairing. This is totally my own fanon, but I ended up making them good friends from Dee's time as XO on the Pegasus, and my Narcho decided to go and fall in love with her. And really, who can blame him? Dee's awesome.
3.) Dee/Lee is actually an honorable mention. I like Dee/Lee in ways, although Lee was a total ass in that relationship. I really wish he'd realized what he had in her. (I was never a fan of Lee/Kara, myself, anyway. I like them as brother/sister.)
4.) Dee/Racetrack. Why not? :)
5.) Dee/Gaeta. Again, I totally understand why people like this pairing, and I don't think they're at all insane. In fact, it would probably end up being a very good, healthy relationship. But I just like Felix as gay, and I love the pair of them as friends that sometimes fight and sometimes it's just the two of them against the world (or at least the rest of the CIC). I wouldn't have hated this pairing if it happened in canon, but I'm still glad it didn't.

2.) Sayid/Shannon. It came out of nowhere, and I didn't think I'd like it because Shannon was a spoiled brat, but I was surprised how much I DID end up liking it.
3.) I think Sayid/Juliet could have been very, very interesting.
4.) You completely turned me on to the idea of Sayid/Gaeta.
5.) I'm not sure that there is one, really. I'm not too familiar with the Lost fandom.

Date: 2010-02-05 07:49 pm (UTC)1.) Hot Dog/right hand. For some reason, he just comes across to me as a dork who ends up by himself a lot. I very, very rarely write him paired.
2.) Hot Dog/Kat. I love the idea of them being frak buddies. I think it could totally work.
3.) Hot Dog/Gaeta in your universe (otherwise, not as much), and believe it or not, Hot Dog/Cally. I'll bet I could write a really sweet, bittersweet story for them where he falls for her and she lets him down easy after they sleep together, and he tells her if she ever changes her mind... and then there's the wedding and the baby and he finds himself kind of envying Chief, and then gets on with his life.
4.) Hot Dog/Starbuck. I seriously could see major sparks there :)
5.) Is there a popular Hot Dog pairing that everyone likes? Really, the only Hot Dog pairings I don't think I could get into, I don't think too many people get into. Hot Dog can kind of sleep with most anyone as far as I'm concerned, except for Adama or Tigh.

2.) Moody/Caradoc Dearborn. This is more a fic thing. I wrote them as having a similar bond as James and Sirius. But hey, I could do a past fling in there.
3.) I actually think Moody/Lupin could be entertaining. Or Moody/McG.
4.) Crack? Oh, Moody/Black sister of some sort (although not Bella). Although that would be HYSTERICAL to write, because Moody wouldn't trust her. Hell, Moody wouldn't trust anyone. That's actually why Moody romance is awkward for me- CONSTANT VIGILANCE!
5.) Moody/Tonks. If there's a popular pairing for Moody, I suppose that's it. And actually, I kind of like the idea in a way, because while I can see him regarding her as a daughter figure, I can also see him not. And I can see Tonks NOT regarding him as a father figure, because she and Ted seem to have a very good relationship. And I have to confess, a Metamorphamagus and a guy with x-ray vision would be really, really, really funny together. But I still like them better as mentor/mentee.

Josh Lyman. The WW people are tough.
1.) Okay, this is weird, but my answer for #1 and #5 are the same. Josh/Donna. Because it is canon, and canon often trumps all for me. And I'll admit there was major tension there, and I don't have a Josh pairing that I adore.
2.) Josh/Amy. I was kind of bummed that Josh and Amy never got it to work out. But I think they were too much alike to work.
3.) Although I vastly prefer them as friends, I could put Josh/Sam here. I like them as friends, but really, I can see the appeal that they hold for people.
4.) Josh/Abby. Because she would totally kick his ass.
5.) Josh/Donna. I just never got into it. I always knew and accepted it was going to happen, and I was mostly okay with it, although frankly, I think by the end Donna was too good for Josh :) But they complimented each other very well, and Donna really grew so much that she could completely hold her own in that relationship. And yeah, "I wouldn't stop for a beer/I wouldn't stop for red lights" IS romantic.
