Gray day today. Is it bad I'm almost hoping for rain? I guess we need to get a birthday present today, and hit the post office. It would be a good school shopping day, but I think think it's going to be a while before we're ready for long pants and sleeves, and I don't trust Toby not to grow again before we need them.

As far as the never-spoke-in-canon challenge goes (I need a better name), overwhelming response (at least from my f-list) is that we should wait until after Big Bang. Since we're also into August and lots of people settling back into schools, I think this is a very wise decision. Several people have suggested comment-style, so I think that's what we'll do. The more fic, the better, plus then all I really have to do is make the community, compile the prompts, and compile the master list at the end. I know I've got a few prompts already- I'd still love to see a story with Hoshi and Starbuck, and I'd also love to see someone else's interpretation of why Zarek calls Hoshi "that little frak" in BotS. I know puszysty has pointed out there was never a canon scene between Cain and Laird, and yes, that is a crime that really, really, really needs remedying. I'd actually kind of like to see something with Helo and Narcho, given Helo's marriage, or Narcho and Athena, too. That would be cool. This should be a fun ficathon.

Been working on Agency. I'm really happy with where it's going, although the scenes I'm in are difficult to write. Also, thank you SO much to everyone who said "Laura wouldn't do that", because a.) you're right and b.) I came up with a scenario that played into my nefarious purposes even better. Unfortunately, I find myself wanting to take a break and work on "The House that Tom Built", especially the Tom and Louis section. I'm still kind of stuck in The Space Between Us universe, and I really, really want to do some recovery fic for Louis, and the Tom and Louis section deals with that a lot, even if it's Tom's POV. But deadlines are fast approaching, so it's going to have to wait.

Glad twelvecolonies is going to be moving away from icon challenges for a bit. I'm iconed out. It's not like my graphics are great anyway (although I'm actually happy with the community icons I made for this recent challenge), so yay, less icons. I really, really enjoyed the motivational posters challenge, though- those were hysterical. Mine are









Seriously. Such a fun challenge.

Plans are good :) And yeah, Felix might be scared at some of the stuff he finds. (Although for me, if I could find a picture of Hoshi looking horrified, that might be more accurate.)

Yeah- with the deadline I really need to finish Agency first. (I have to admit, I'm also curious to see if you ever manage to do that remix of Battles Still Unfought. One good egg deserves another, right? :) ) But yeah- Agency. It was bad enough that I did the Kendra/Hoshi thing in there... I don't need another one distracting me!
