Ugh. I feel terrible. I'm 99% sure it's just a cold- it's a scratchy throat, stuffy nose, and headache, and a little bit of the chills and a lot of just feeling blech. But I can't take any of my favorite meds because of the baby. And I can't concentrate for long periods of time at all. Oh well. Soup for lunch today, I think!

On the bright side, it's just as well hubby's out of town for our anniversary today. Why do people keep telling me that sucks? If he WAS home, we probably still wouldn't do anything major tonight, even if I didn't have youth group. I might cook a nicer dinner than usual (if I didn't feel like crap), but we always wait until a weekend night to go out to dinner so we can relax and enjoy it. So he's not here today. Whoopee.

We've been married three years, together for eight. This is the first year we aren't giving each other gifts for the occasion. I feel a little wierd about it, to be honest, but money's getting tighter and to be honest, his birthday was August, mine is November, and Christmas is coming. I don't know what to get him, or what he should get me! We were just going to go see Wicked, but apparently that doesn't start playing around here until April. Oh well. Next weekend we're going out to one of our favorite restaurants for dinner, which is always nice. (REALLY nice place.) And I'm going to convince him to take me to the Melting Pot for my birthday. (Mmmmm... fondue...) Three years though. It went by fast.

There was something else I was going to say, but I don't remember it at all. :P That's what I get for feeling crappy. Oh well.

Hope everyone's got as nice of weather as we do!

Happy anniversary to you! I have this huge rainbow that I can see outside my work window and I'll make a wish on it for you :D

Happy Anniversary!

Hope your cold goes away soon.

And, just so you know, it's 40 degrees and spitting rain here, so your weather wins. :)

Well, I'd think it sucks - even though we never do anything big on our anniversary, it's still nice to at least *see* each other. But if a delay doesn't bother you, then don't let people tell you it should. (On the other hand, we haven't done gifts since the first year or two. He often gets me flowers, but I consider them completely unimportant to the occasion. We do cards and get takeout and just acknowledge the day, and that's enough for us.)

Mmmm, Melting Pot! I envy you. Haven't had fondue in ages.

Hope you feel better soon. You could at least have Tylenol for the aches and chills, couldn't you?

Thank you on both counts :) And soup helped. There MUST be something to that.

Ugh! That weather sounds miserable. Hope you're staying warm and dry!

I agree- it's really nice to at least see each other. But since we can't, I try to convince myself it's no biggie :) This year, he's out of town for his birthday, my birthday, and our anniversary. But as long as he's here for the birth, I'm okay.

Gotta love the Melting Pot. Sooooooo good- especially dessert. One of the few restauants where dessert is absolutely mandatory!

I could take Tylenol, except I actually don't have it around. I keep meaning to get it, but unless I'm sick, I rarely have a headache, and I usually use baths to take care of muscle pain. The only painkiller I have around the place is Aleve, which definitely isn't permitted! And I don't have my car, so walking to the store to get Tylenol (a good hour of walking) is probably not the best call I've ever made.

Oh well! I'm going to use it as an excuse to curl up on the couch and watch a movie or something :)

But I was supposed to go to The Melting Pot for my anniversary today! ;)

Oh, and btw - from now on, all your anniversaries are going to be so totally different. Babysitters! HAHA!

a very happy anniversary to you and your husband! my spouse and I agreed that we don't give each other gifts but do something like go for a walk or a picnic dinner or out to our favorite local place. It's more memorable and fun in my experience.

hope you feel better soon

Mmmmmmm. Enjoy! I'm definitely looking forward to going for my b-day. Hubby has a stronger preference for a local restaurant, and since their food is SO terrible (HA! I'd kill for their French onion soup- they put cider in it and it is to die for), I put up a huge fuss :)

And I know. This is the last anniversary quite this easy for a while!!! (Fortunately, in-laws live 5 miles away....)

Thanks, on both counts!

I like gifts- don't get me wrong :) - it's just difficult with birthdays nearby. Plus, I have no car right now. Makes it much harder. And I'd rather spend time!

Happy anniversary. I am new to commenting here, found you through "Deny Thy Father." Might I suggest Vicks Vaporub to help you with your cold, I used it when I was pregnant and it worked fairly well, also safe for the baby.

Thanks! Both for the well wishes and the suggestion. The congestion didn't seem to last long (makes me wonder if it was allergies and not a cold?), but I still have a month to go before I deliver, and I'm going to nurse, so I'm sure that your suggestion may yet be extremely useful!

And welcome to my little corner :)
