Well, "passport" would be "passport". (Yes, really.) Paper, literally translated, is "buMAga" (caps to show syllablic stress) but the final vowel changes depending on singular v plural and where it's being used in a sentence. Also, I don't know if formal "papers" as you're speaking of would still be "bumagi" (the plural nominative), but I believe "documents" would be "documenti" (again, vowel may change at the end depending on what the case is).
