Two quick questions for people:

1.) Am I right that Fool In the Rain (Led Zepplin) was released in 1979? I never knew what album it was from, and I'm pretty sure that's right, but I'm not 100% positive.

2.) For all you Rome watchers- why does Cato wear a black toga while everyone else wears white with red trimmings? I assume it's because it's some sort of political designation, but I don't know enough about ancient Rome to have any real clue. We've only gotten two episodes in, but it's really driving me nuts.

Thanks!

"Fool in the Rain" is from In Through the Out Door, released in late 1979. Gotta love the internet.

Thanks. :) I popped the title into Google, but the first so many links were just the lyrics. Checking the band's site probably does help, doesn't it?

Of course, sadly, that means I can't use the line in my fic, but oh well :P

Thanks!

I am only familiar with the Led Zeppelin website because I had to check when "Stairway to Heaven" was released -- so I could be sure that Remus could teach it to the Hogwarts organ in Prankster's Guide. You're not the only one who checks things like that. ;)

Heh. It's always nice as well to seem some variation in the MWPP crew's musical taste. The seventies produced some crappy music, yes, but you don't have to resort to JUST glitter or the Beatles :) (Thus my Queen obsession for Remus.) I'm tempted to be bad and break it, but the line wasn't that great and it was just one reference. :P (Unlike James singing "Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer." So what if it wasn't written until the 80s? James needs to sing that!)

Yup! The album wrapped in a brown paper bag! I had that one, too! They were about to start their US tour for it when John Bonham died, and I remember being really upset because we were planning on going to the concert at Madison Square Garden. Bummer.

Heh. I didn't have it (I was only 5), but it's my all-time favorite Led Zeppelin song. It sounds odd to say this about any L-Z song, but it really is cute!

Fool In the Rain

Ah, my favorite Led Zepplin song. I actually used to own the album -- passed on to me by my brother -- but God only knows what became of it.

*skips on over to iTunes*

My favorite, too. It really is a cute song. I didn't own the album- I was only 5 when it came out, and my Dad was either Pink Floyd or CCR- but it's really a great song :)

I just checked "Ask Jeeves" and the answer to the toga question is he is probably in mourning. The site it led me to said that special brown, black or grey togas were worn for mourning. It also said that black togas were also worn to represent theologians and blue for philosophers, but I'm sure he's not a theologian and I know his toga isn't blue.

Hmmm. I was wondering about the mourning thing. It just seems like there'd be more people in mourning, y'know? Especially at the age they're all at? I keep having the theory that he's like the Minority Speaker or something like that, but no dice so far. Thanks!
