GIP!!!!! I finally get to do it!!!! YES!

Happy birthday to me... I finally bought my birthday present to myself- a paid account. Whoohoo! I'd been thinking "nah, I'm not a computer geek, I don't need one"... but icons really make one reconsider. Especially when you look at the price of an account anyway.

And look what I finally got! An Accio Bananas icon that ladynoodle made me! Now I need to go find more icons. MORE, I tell you, MORE!!!! I can have a WTF icon! I can make a MRFH icon!

If you can't tell, I also made pecan pie squares today for a dinner I'm leaving for in- oh- a few minutes, I guess. I don't make them often because my husband isn't a big fan. He's not a sugar eater, and pecan pie does have quite a bit of sugar. Of course I had to test them and make sure they were appropriate for consumption. For how crappy my night went last night, today is turning out pretty darn good, I must say.

Thank you to everyone who's wished me happy birthday, btw :) It really means a lot.

And thank you thank you THANK YOU again to nessa_owen, who wrote me (wait for it...) dominant!Sirius fic. You must read it: it's called Wake Me. I love Nessa's fics because, like me, she can't write PWP- she has to go put that emotional stuff in there. And this is a dominant Sirius/submissive Remus for all the RIGHT reasons- not Sirius being an asshole and Remus being spineless, but because of Remus wanting to give up control and Sirius's need to protect and because they both think it's really, really hot. You can tell from this fic it's not like their entire relationship is always D/s- it's just something they do sometimes.

And yes. I really, really like it. :)

Okay. Now that I'm done reccing porn, I'll be off to the church dinner. Go figure.

That Accio Bananas icon makes me giggle! *is twelve* You know, I did read that fic they wrote for you (I'm so glad you finally got your dom!Sirius/sub!Remus fic, I remember you asking me if I knew any fic like that some time ago), but I guess I'm too attached to my idea that Sirius is Remus's lapdog. :P It's an awesome fic, but it kinda doesn't work for me :S

Thanks! And yeah, I know that the D/s Sirius/Remus doesn't work for everyone, but I'm so delighted to finally see it, and done for the right reasons. Normally when I see it, it's Sirius being a complete asshole.

Ooooooh. Can I give you a couple options? (Obviously, not all of them, but I know that sometimes one thing will inspire people better than others.)

-The Christmas cake scene in AIL 6, where Remus and Sirius are sharing a piece and sitting in front of the fire together.

-Uncle Alphard. (I've never given a physical description of him, so I don't know if that makes it easier or harder)

-A Harry and Ron non-shippy, best friends picture.

Harry and Ron, that one I can do it, I do like them and I don't really like them as a ship >P (Ron's too hetero, in my opinion).

Yeah, if I was going to slash Harry, Ron is my choice, but Ron pings me as hetero too. (So does Harry, so I very rarely read Ron/Harry, but that would be my Harry slash-ship of choice.) But I adore their friendship. I like the Trio, but Harry and Ron... they're just cool :)

Well, I can slash Harry with lots of people. Sirius, SiriusandRemus, Snape, Draco, Tom Riddle (even if it doesn't make sense), Bill, Oliver, Fred and George, but I find Harry/Ron weird. I dunno, I can see it when stuff like the second Task happens (that he was Harry's most important person) and all, but I just see Ron and Hermione together. And that's it.
I do ship H/G, but it's only gotten canon in the last book >P

I'm picturing Alphard, I would guess he looks kinda like a more mature sort of Sirius, with greying hair like Remus's...He's around 30, isn't he? Or how old is he?
I'll probably try to draw Damien as well :D

Actually, he's more around 50-60. Alphard and McGonagall are the same age. I picture him looking more like an older version of Regulus, but a lot of people do the Sirius-looks-like-Regulus thing.

Damien would be AWESOME. He's definitely supposed to be the Lion Man. Little past shoulder length hair (back in a ponytail, usually), built, and wire-rim glasses. I'd LOVE to see someone's version of Damien!

Well, I've drawn Regulus a few times, he looks kinda like Remus, but with black hair and a face similar to Draco's. Something like that.
Ugh, older people are difficult to draw. Well, at least for me. It'd be quite a challenge though.
Oh, I love Damien! And I know you based him in the Lion Man. And that you wanted to see someone's version of him, that's why I thought of drawing him.

meh. It's not that old. Besides, from the perspective of a person whose classmates range from 20-55, the only ones I ever think of as old are the ones who bemoan it all the time (which you don't. so no worries)

It's not that "you're only as old as you think you are" but that "other people only think you're old if you tell them you are" :D

Yay for your B-day fic! It's nice when you see a fic that addresses one of your favorite kinks in the right way. I hardly ever see mine in fic. Maybe I'm just not hanging out on the right groups to see it. Yet I keep thinking, as far as kinks go it's pretty mild, but why does no one write it more often? Meh.

Oooh- what are yours? Pretty mild and coming from someone who normally writes plot, I'm always interested in those kinds. After all, I write Sirius-bottoming fic mainly because it's nassima's thing and she keeps drawing me inspiration.

I definitely have a thing for the dominant Sirius, but so, so often it's Sirius the asshole- not just Sirius dominant. And weak Remus, which I don't like at all. Of course, the amusing thing is there's at least one other person out there with that kink, cause that was one of my assignments.... ::Sighs and laughs::
