(no subject)

You know, my shackingup_sesa fic is evil. Evil, I tell you. I'm not terribly happy with it, but it's got to get done.

I know exactly what the problem with it is. It's a novel length fic if I want to do it right, and it needs to be much shorter than that. My pacing is really off. I'm actually tempted to cut off the first three pages. The writing is good and it's interesting, which is annoying, but given the recipient's request and the time I have left, maybe I'm better off without those parts.

I suspect I am, but I probably won't do it anyway, because I LIKE those parts. They're frankly better than the sex scenes, because while I wouldn't say I suck at writing sex, I would say I'm no kabey_k. My sex scenes tend to be very vanilla, I think, which isn't a pyscho-criticism of myself or fishing for compliments, but rather a statement that I think I do far, far better with plot and all than I do with PWP. Probably because I like the first better.

And this rambling isn't getting my shackingup_sesa fic done.

But good lord, I'm in expository mode for this stupid fic.

HA!!!!!! I just found a fic I'd lost! I had one that I was writing for another comm about Sirius getting his memories back. I was quite fond of it. How it ended up in my Through the Fire folder (yes, pfrsue, I still have a TTF folder), I don't know.

I'd also better get this review done, a line I am adding just so I can use my pretty biodiesel icon. Yes, I am a total geek :)

I think I do far, far better with plot and all than I do with PWP. Probably because I like the first better.

I was just thinking yesterday that PWP might as well stand for Point, What Point? Or at least for me now. I've written PWP before, and I'll probably do it again, but it's just not as interesting without plot.

Also, I could have sworn that I'd congratulated you on Toby's birth, but I looked at my recent comments and I guess not. So, CONGRATULATIONS! :D
