Rec Me, Rec Me, Rec Me!

Help? Because of the birth and all, I have hardly read any fic over the month of December. I've read all of one piece that I can remember: aome's Letters fic. And I reread Kingdom Rise and Kingdoms Fall, but I'd read that when thistlerose wrote it originally. And I have nyxfixx's latest bookmarked as a treat for myself once I finish my illustrated fic swap fic. But that's it.

So please, tell me what the good fics out there for December were- especially the plotty stuff. If you wrote something you like, please self-pimp, because I didn't see it yet.

Not that I think I'll have tons of time to be reading, mind you. But I'd like to start marking them for later ;)

Well, I haven't read a ton myself, but two fics come to mind, both Christmasy, and not hard on the heart. madsciencechick's Advent. It's fun and sweet mainly. Also, I loved minnow_53's Little Things That Mean A Lot. Sweet and perfect. And, damn it, all right, I'll pimp myself too. I wrote two. Close the Windows, which is Sirius-centric and kinda sad, (I'm still not sure if I like it or not,)and The Comfort of Confection, which is holidayish and involves rumballs. Both are Pg-13.

But yeah, when are you gonna have time for reading? True, at least you can create yourself a little reading list!

I'd self-rec, but I've been playing in another fandom lately so you prolly wouldn't be interested. Oh well.

But yes yes yes you must read nessa_owen's fics, both of them.

(How do you find the time to post at all, m'dear? I don't think I went near a computer my first several months with both of mine--sleep was first and foremost on my mind...)

I posted a couple of end-of-the-lost-years Remus stories: Bitterroot and The First of September. They're both quite short.

Also, just to point out a few fics posted on omniocular that are very good: snorcackcatcher's Second Thoughts (really neat Sorting Hat POV) , aerama's Diabolical Cat Portal (about what happens when Rita Skeeter interviews Mrs. Norris), and eudaimon's In the Country of Last Things (an absolutely brilliant story about viewpoints of Cedric's death).
