Dec. 26th, 2005 09:57 amYay! My recipient seemed to like her
shackingup_sesa gift. And someone else commented on it too, which makes me a feel a bit better because there's always that worried little voice in the back of your head that says "did she really like it or is she just being nice?" I really hope she did. I certainly liked mine. It was a little bit of a surprise in spots, but the psychology SO worked, and the author actually paid a LOT of attention to the psychology of the situation. I'm not sure who wrote it (although I've got a couple of guesses- currently I'm guessing either
xellas or
wildestranger, but they did a fantastic job.
Toby's had two-thirds of his first Christmas. He was totally uninterested in Christmas at our house (although he seems to really like the soft blocks his daddy picked out for him), and he slept through Christmas at hubby's parents' house. My parents are coming down tomorrow, so he still has Christmas with them.
It was an odd Christmas this year. Didn't feel much like Christmas to me, really, because we've been so preoccupied with the baby. I also couldn't go to church on Christmas Eve- too many unpredictable people with colds and stuff. I stayed home with Toby and hubby went to church. We are going to a Boxing Day party this evening, but it's next door so if we decide it's too much, we can bring the baby home really easily and do the party in shifts. I can't wait, though. PEOPLE! I get to see people!!!!! I had a nice Christmas, though. Hubby got me a watch, a tapas cookbook, a frame, the Muppets Take Manhatten, and (my favorite) Season 1 of the Muppet Show on DVD! (Hmmm. Methinks I need to make myself a Swedish Chef icon. And maybe Pigs in Space.)
Uh-oh. Baby's waking up. Hope everyone had a great Christmas, and happy Hannaukah to all who celebrate it! :)
