Five things Regulus would have liked to have done have Voldemort not gotten to him first

1.) Finish school and do the N.E.W.T. level History of Magic class
2.) Have a girlfriend
3.) Travel a LOT- especially to Egypt
4.) Make peace with Sirius
5.) Overthrow the Dark Lord there

Top five careers you wish you could have

1.) Mad scientist with a lab in my basement (see? I COULD cross research and stay-at-home Mom!)
2.) Best-selling author
3.) Fanfic-type prostitute (not how prostitution is in real life, mind you)
4.) I sometimes really wish I'd become an architect
5.) Space explorer

AIL!Remus's top five Muggle books

1.) Gone With the Wind by Margaret Mitchell.
2.) We the Living by Ayn Rand
3.) A truly trashy detective/thriller type novel- something that my husband would read
4.) The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams (honestly, why does noone ever have Remus read this?)
5.) The Three Musketeers by Alexander Dumas

My thought:

The world does need more crossovers. I keep meaning to write one where Toby Ziegler teaches Muggle Studies at Hogwarts, because Toby-Snape interaction (NOT sexual, that's just an ew factor of ten million) is what this world needs. And Remus Lupin needs to adopt the Lemony Snicket orphans. But when I was watching the Muppets today, it hit me what the world REALLY needs:

Serenity meets Pigs In Space.

Seriously.

Have You Heard Voices by [livejournal.com profile] fox1013 - it's pre-movie, and oh so good.

I can't believe someone did that so seriously, and made it WORK.

I'm, well... speechless.

Wow.

Yeah, I think it started out as a bit of a joke, but Amy is... yeah. She makes it really work.

I second that! We all invent them in our heads, at odd little moments, so why not write them down? *g*

I'd need to watch much more Firefly (like, actually watch the series finally) and Muppets before I did. But maybe some day...

funny you should mention crossovers, as [livejournal.com profile] crossover_hp starts off today, I think with prompts so you should definitely suggest a prompt :)

Remus with Baudelaire orphans is an awesome idea (like, talk about unfortunate event, having a werewolf for a guardian!)

I just want them all to have a happy ending :)

We the Living is the only Ayn Rand book I've liked and/or made it all the way through. Good one Remus. :p

And there does need to be more crossovers. MORE I say!

I'm a huge Ayn Rand fan. But he had to know what it was about given that Regulus was reading it in AIL :)

And Remus Lupin needs to adopt the Lemony Snicket orphans.

But ... but that would mean Count Olaf and his minions would murder him in some particularly nasty way! I don't want that to happen!

Oh, no. I haven't read all the books yet, but that needs to be the last bit. Remus kills off (or imprisons) Count Olaf and he, Klaus, Sunny, and Violet all live happily ever after with their well deserved happy endings. :)

The Ayn Rand would wake Remus the only person in Britain who is not on the extreme right to have read, much less enjoyed, Ayn Rand.

Not that that couldn't happen, of course...

LOL- really? I'm pretty middle of the road, I guess (or extreme on one direction or the other, depending on the issue), and I am a HUGE Ayn Rand fan. Probably because I'm all for less government involvement, and that everyone should just butt out and let people live their own lives. :)

On the other hand, We The Living is probably her most "story-esque" novel. Even if it is as depressing as hell. But Regulus was reading it in AIL, and Remus knew what it was about, so apparently he'd read it! :)

Wow, that was an interesting thought... Snape/Toby interaction is something I would pay to see! My friend and I are supposedly writing a Harry Potter crossover, I'll persuade her to put one in. *grins*

This may seem like a completely random comment to you but I've been following AIL for a while, and I was just looking for updates when I found this.
