Muppets and a Question

I am definitely having fun watching Season One of the Muppet Show. I'd forgotten how adult some of their humor really is. Examples:

(in the ballroom)
Zoot: Do you believe in the hereafter?
Janice: Yes.
Zoot: Then you know what I'm here after!

Gonzo: Kermit, are you busy?
Kermit: Yes, Gonzo, but I can give you my ear for a moment.
Gonzo: What would I do with your ear?
Kermit: Van Gogh impressions.

Kermit: Sam, Elton John is a very important musician.
Sam the American Eagle: Then why does he dress like a stolen car?

Candice Bergen: What do you get when you order a Russian dressing? Rudolf Nureyev putting on his tights?

I mean, seriously. Are kids supposed to get some of these? (She asks happily.) God, I miss Muppet humor. And I'm having a lot of fun making Muppet icons.

In a completely unrelated note, does anyone know any good artists who do fanart for A Song of Fire and Ice? I'd love to see some.

And I LOVE the Muppet Show! It's really expensive to buy all the DVD's, so my sister gets them from the library. My niece and nephew LOVE the Elton John episode! (And afterwards my niece asked me to make her a CD with the Crocodile Song and the Break my Heart song! *g*)

MUPPETS!!!!! My daughter's class play last night was The Muppet Show! Granted the humor was more appropriate for 9-11 year-olds but I'm still chortling.

I wonder if they'd bring them back as a series again, now that would be cool. *g*

There was that Muppets Tonight series, but it seems to have fizzled. I wish it hadn't, although I wasn't too crazy about some of their new additions. Plus, the humor isn't quite as sarcastic in the episodes I've seen. :P

I would love it if they brought it back again as well!

omg, *shields eyes from icon* I'm serious, the professor and his whatevers scare the shit outa me still. I'm scarred for life from having seen the Muppet movie in the theater from that scene. (was a very sensitive child)

ANyhoo, yes ! Jenny Dolfen is amazing -- on my user list is mararead who has a deviant art gallery with some pencil drawings of the Martin and HP characters.
