Cause everybody's doing it... Most of these have actually made it into my stories, but hey.

1.) Uncle Alphard was a gay werewolf. Show me where it says he isn't. He left his money to Sirius because of how Sirius treated Remus and eventually Alphard over the werewolf issue.

2.) During the first war, James was a professional Quidditch player (reserve, thus the "not a lot of money"), Lily was a healer, Sirius was an Auror, Remus had several jobs, and Peter was a candy maker who invented Ice Mice.

3.) Peter was quite good at Divination. The others thought he took it for an easy O and heckled him mercilessly, which Peter resented because he WAS actually good at it.

4.) Regulus died a virgin, because he was crap at talking to girls. I just realized that my Regulus and Simon Tam have a LOT in common. He also dropped out of school after fifth year to become a Death Eater, with his parents' full approval. I wonder if Voldemort made them sign a permission slip.

5.) Regulus learned about Horcruxes through a book of Dark Magic that Rasputin had, since very few people in Britian seem to know about them. Come on, it makes TOTAL sense that Rasputin was a wizard who had a Horcrux, and that's why it was so hard to kill him!

6.) Caradoc Dearborn was not a young, gay stud, but an old, gray, chubby research wizard who worked with animals and had NO sense of personal space or boundries. And yes, he did do some observations on Remus, and there was going to be a paper, except Inferi generally get slammed in the reviewing process. He and Moody were best friends, which was an odd but fun combination.

7.) Moody never married, either. He was married to his work.

8.) Alice Longbottom was an incredibly powerful Auror who could kick Sirius's ass any time she so pleased, and was actually more powerful than Frank, although Frank kept his head better under pressure, which was why he was taken on before she was. She was very spunky and constantly took the piss out of Sirius, and he adored her with a brotherly passion. Frank, incidentally, was a very closeted bi, and Alice was never truly comfortable around Remus because she was vaguely aware that Frank had a bit of a thing for him, and vice versa.

9.) Sirius was actually shit as an Auror, in certain ways. He was smart enough and brave enough, but he was too emotional and impulsive.

10.) Remus and Alex became actual friends during the Lost Years, in a platonic but strong sense. It didn't happen until a few years after 1981, and unfortunately Alex died from AIDS. Remus was there with him when he died. He still misses Alex, but he's much more at peace with Alex's death than any other he knows of right now.

I love all of these.

#10 is the only one I don't think I've seen written from you. It's a sad hint of the future for Alex, but fits so well with what you've shown us of him. (I like your Alex as much as I like your Caradoc and Regulus...you do a wonderful job with OCs and near-OCs.)

Thanks! Yeah, I was trying to come up with ones I haven't written, but when you write such long pieces, the details work their way in there :) And thanks on Alex- I'm quite fond of the boy myself!

Yay! I was hoping you'd do this one :) Did you kind of hint at there having been a relationship between Caradoc and Moody, or is that just the sound of the slash eating my brain (for which you are to blame anyway :p)? *hugs*

Oops, I did my job too well! No, Caradoc and Moody were completely, utterly platonic- sort of their generation's James and Sirius, but not quite so outwardly troublesome. (I do thinkm they got up to a lot that the teachers didn't know about. I also think they played the "we're poor orphan boys that would never do anything wrong" card a LOT.) It just dawned on me that they were probably at school with Alphard and Minerva. That would be a fun fic to write one day!

I love all of them, but this one especially:

Regulus learned about Horcruxes through a book of Dark Magic that Rasputin had, since very few people in Britian seem to know about them. Come on, it makes TOTAL sense that Rasputin was a wizard who had a Horcrux, and that's why it was so hard to kill him!

That makes complete sense.

Thanks! It's one of those things that drives me nuts- how did Regulus learn of Horcruxes if they're so hard to find out about? This was a fun answer :)

and to chime in again on this one: Rasputin was a wizard who had a Horcrux, and that's why it was so hard to kill him!,

makes perfect sense:-) a really fun list

"I just realized that my Regulus and Simon Tam have a LOT in common."

I cant believe I didn't see that before, but you're absolutely right, and it's rather amusing. I've always pictured Reg as a bit like Cillian Murphy (http://imdb.com/name/nm0614165/) as he was (http://www.christophernolan.net/images/batman_photos_murphy.jpg) in Batman Begins (thought I'm aware in your universe he has shorter hair.)

"Frank, incidentally, was a very closeted bi, and Alice was never truly comfortable around Remus because she was vaguely aware that Frank had a bit of a thing for him, and vice versa."

Huh. I didn't actually pick that up since I interpretted the play flirting when they first met as platonic, entirely motivated by the desire to make Sirius and Alice upset, but it fits in a subtle way.

"Sirius was actually shit as an Auror, in certain ways. He was smart enough and brave enough, but he was too emotional and impulsive."

That just makes me smile.

Sorry this is a month late, but uh, it didn't seem like anyone else did it, and I'm an artist, so I figured I ought to give it a shot. I realize Remus's expression isn't really how it's described in the scene, but I'm a fan of grimaces.

SQUEEE! :):):) Oh. My. God- THANK YOU! That's fantastic! I especially love the water breaking against the rocks (that's exactly how I picture that stretch!) and the way the light of the moon is shining on Remus and Regulus. What a FABULOUS picture- thank you!!!

I can see the Cillian Murphy thing too, now that you mention it. (Either way, Reg is hot and it's a shame he did die a virgin in my world. Heh.) I like the glasses, actually- and that's a touch I wish I'd given Regulus. Smart boy glasses.

Thanks again! :)

Wah!

As for Dearborn, my visual for him is always that of my high school physics teacher: Mr Dearborn. :D

LOL!!! I actually hadn't realized it, but I inadvertantly based Caradoc's personality on one of my bosses. I was telling a fellow geek about him at work, and my friend just pointed to the office next door, and he was so right. I think this is why I can't imagine a sex life for Caradoc! :)

OMG awesome

I wonder if Voldemort made them sign a permission slip.

Hahaha. That should so be in the Death Eaters Rules & Regulations list over... somewhere (can't remember and was dumb and didn't memory it). "All underage purebred witches and wizards must have a notarized permission slip signed by a guardian and proof of health insurance before they will be assigned to away missions. Lack of either will limit you to work inside the mansion, either as a Lackey, a Gopher, a Minion or a Source of Pure Blood for potion-brewing."

I love these. Number 4,5, and 9. Are cannon to me. I think it's because I adore your story AIL so very much. I also have a huge soft spot for Regulus and of course Sirius.

I've seen that icon before, and it always completely cracks me up. Thanks so much. :) I've definitely been developing a soft spot for Regulus. (Sirius goes without saying!)

Hi,

I don't think I commended before so this would be my delurk.

I love your story, so much detail and nothing that doesn't fit.

But Peter being good at divination, when I read it in your story, I was going... *jikes*.
For the things it implies:
He could well be the most brave of them all, choosing what is needed in the long run in stead of what is easy in the now.
And now you have me lamenting the poor boy, whom I used to despise.

I had a bit of a feeling the Frank was bi after the whole "Do you want to see something really swell?" comment. Actually, that might have been my favorite scene, it made me giggle.

I <3 this list. :D
